Today I am talking about punctuation. :) In the second part, you will improve your English fluency with a fun mini-story. It's like having a conversation with another person in English! Before we start, visit&nbsp;&nbsp;to get the transcript of this episode. Ok! Today I am talking about punctuation. By this word, I mean the different spelling marks used when writing. These are the main ones. Period or full stop . -&nbsp;is a punctuation mark that we use to show the end of a sentence. Commas ,&nbsp;are the ideal punctuation mark to divide sentences or indicate when to pause. Apostrophes -&nbsp;we use them to identify something that belongs to someone, or to show a letter or multiple letters are missing from a word. Colons :&nbsp;are used to precede a list of items, a quotation, or an expansion or explanation. Semicolons ;&nbsp;indicate a pause, usually between two main sentences, longer than that indicated by a comma. Ellipsis …&nbsp;We use them to show that one or more words have been removed from a quote and create suspense by adding a pause before the end of the sentence. And we can also use it to show the end of a thought. Quotation marks " " Inform the reader that you have used written material from other sources or direct speech.&nbsp; Question marks ?&nbsp;Indicate that the speaker is asking a question. They're used at the end of the question (or interrogative) sentences. Exclamation marks !&nbsp;Can change a sentence's meaning and tone. They still end a sentence, but they can add emotion, whether excitement, anger, or nervousness! Round brackets ( )&nbsp;are used similarly to commas when we want to add an explanation, an afterthought, or a comment related to our primary line of thought but different from it. Square brackets or brackets [ ]&nbsp;We use them for special purposes, such as technical manuals. Hyphen -&nbsp;we use it to join words and separate syllables of a single word.&nbsp; Punctuations can be very confusing, especially if you don't know where to place them, and can change the entire meaning of what you want to say. Let's look at&nbsp;some examples of situations&nbsp;when we do not use punctuation marks properly: #1 Woman Without Man A teacher wrote the following sentence on the board and asked his class to punctuate it:&nbsp; Woman without her man is nothing. Half of the class punctuated the sentence in the following way: Woman: without her, man is nothing. The other half of the class responded with the following: Woman, without her man, is nothing. Fascinating how punctuation can change the meaning of a sentence entirely. Another example:&nbsp; #2 Your granny's life depends upon it! Here,&nbsp;commas&nbsp;matter. Let's eat granny! Or&nbsp; Let's eat, granny! See the difference? #3 Eat your dinner. You say to a child:&nbsp;Eat your dinner! You say to a cow:&nbsp;Eat! You're dinner!  Here,&nbsp;apostrophes&nbsp;matter. #4 I'm sorry I love you. When you are in a terrible fight, you might say a horrible thing like this one: I'm sorry I love you. And when you want to make up again, you can say: I'm sorry; I love you. &nbsp; Semicolons&nbsp;matter! :) &nbsp; #5 I find inspiration in cooking my family and my dog. That sounds crazy! Right? We need some commas here!&nbsp; &nbsp; Let’s hear it again: &nbsp; I find inspiration in cooking, my family, and my dog. &nbsp; That’s much better! -	Why you would like to do this job
-	Whether it would be easy to do this job
And say whether it would be easy to find a job like this.

Among many types of job in labour market, teaching is the one I have dreamt to do. Although it is considered  a dead-end job,  it still can provide me a fortune if I work hard enough  with dedication. Not to  mention the, the flexitime that teachers get, by which I mean  if someday the teacher  picks up an illness, he/she can have a day-off and then gives  students a makeup later. What I fancy most in this job is that  I can work with students who are very young and enomously enthusiastic, well , sometimes extremely rebellous, though. The reason for this interest is working with under-age  people would make  me somehow younger in mind..
However, I do believe that it is not a piece of cake to take this job due to competiveness of the labour market. What’s more, if I want to be a teacher at a school or uiniversity, I have to sit the civil service exam which is completely difficult. Additionally, nepotism is very popular in this field. I mean lots of people get job as a teacher by their money and relationships. Well,  anyway, against all odds,  I am trying my best to make my dream come true.

— A historical television series on the life of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong, the founder of Viet Nam Zen  Buddhism, will be filmed early next month by the private entertainment group, Viet Nam Tinh Hoa (Viet Ess).
The 45-part series, Phat Hoang Tran Nhan Tong (King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong), is written by a group of 11 scriptwriters and authors knowledgeable about Vietnamese history and Buddhism. The screenplay was based on nine novels by writers Hoang Quoc Hai, Ha An and Tran Dai Si.The film's director, Meritorious Artist Van Luong, and his staff spent more than three years preparing for filming. "My staff and I have worked with dozens of experts in language,   costume design, and props to improve our knowledge and understand how all of these fields in the film are important historically, technically, and socially," said Luong.
The series is about the life and  attainment of  Nirvana of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong , the third king of the Tran dynasty, who /əˈsend ascended the throne when he was just 21.The King was famed for defeating Mongol invaders. He   abdicated the throne when he was 35 and spent the rest of his life on Yen Tu Mountain, located in Quang Ninh Province, practising and  propagating Buddhism.He founded the Truc Lam School of Zen and worked to unify different Vietnamese Buddhism sects into Vietnamese Zen Buddhism.
The Central Committee of the Viet Nam  Buddhist Sangha has long observed the day the King attained Nirvana (the first day of the 11th lunar month) as the national anniversary of Vietnamese Buddhism.
"Through the film, we wanted to spotlight King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong's remarkable spirit and work," said Luong, adding that the film is his greatest project.Luong's film attracted more than 100 actors and stuntmen, who have been trained by film and theatre experts, such as People's Artists Nguyen Dinh Quang, Man Thu, Nhu Quynh and Le Chuc.
The producer Viet Ess has also constructed a 15-hectare studio in Uong Bi City in Quang Ninh Province for filming.
Post-production work on the film Phat Hoang Tran Nhan Tong will be completed in Ha Noi later this year.

Speaking English is way easier when you use the right material and techniques. Although we don't celebrate Valentine's Day this time of the year, I think that as Christmas approaches, many of us spend more time with our partners. So today, I want to introduce some funny but useful compliments that will make your significant other, feel special.  There are all kinds of compliments: good, bad, original, ordinary, or funny ones. If you still don't know what they are, don't worry because I'll explain it to you. Next, we will practice fluency with a mini-story on a very special competition related to today's topic. Remember that you can get the text of the episode at SpeakEnglishPodcast.com. As I said, today I'm going to talk about compliments, but first, let's define what they are. A compliment is basically a brief comment on an attribute or quality of a person. There are many types, and perhaps it is more common to say a compliment to a woman, although I think nowadays there are more and more women who compliment men. I have to say some compliments are tasteless. That is to say, they are rude and instead create the opposite sense of what is intended. My intention in this episode is to analyze some compliments I find to be especially witty or funny. Well, let's see the first one:  #1 "I don't have a favorite color. It's pretty much whatever you are wearing." This is beautiful, and you can use it to congratulate a woman you're already dating. Let her know that you have noticed the color of her dress. Many women love it when our partners pay attention to what we're wearing.  #2 "I can't take my eyes off of you. Unless you notice me, then I'll quickly look away and act like it never happened." Sometimes at the beginning of a relationship, you start doing silly things you've never done before. Although it may sound silly, it would be super cool if you would compliment someone like that. #3 "I'd be so happy to spend every minute of every day with you, but some days I have to do things."  The reality is that as much as we would like to spend all our time with our loved one, it's practically impossible. At least it's not feasible in the long term since someone has to pay the bills. #4 "If you knew how much I think about you, I would be very embarrassed."  If there is one person in your life who is always on your mind, don't be afraid to let them know with this honest compliment.  #5 "It's not easy to be me. Which is why I need you."  I know, this one's a bit silly, but I think it's genuine and sweet.
