The second in our ongoing series of mixes by some of our favourite producers, this mix comes to us from former 4H fam and friend, Vancouver based producer Brock Mackay, aka Rook Milo. Making beats since 2012, Rook Milo's space-aware, atmospheric-bass sound pared against a heavy hitting hip-hop driven live set has caught the ears of the likes of Ryan Hemsworth, TA-KU, and DJ Slow in recent years. With a unique sound, Rook Milo also fits well within the burgeoning scene in Vancouver amongst such peers as SANGNOIR, James Deen, and Ekali and the Chapel Sound crew. 

A down-tempo, "in key and shit, chill vibe" mix of slowed down hip-hop and R&B instrumentals, lyrical hits, and original remixes and tracks.

The chords progression & ‘lute’ like plucked guitar inspired a medieval fable. I described the concept to Daniel & we dived in on the character development (This was actually the first song we worked on together). Also big nod to San for the shredding guitar solo in the outro.
