I'm a Kansas City native, and I briefly attended the UMKC Conservatory where I pursued a BA in Music under the tutelage of Dr. Mary Posses. I currently attend St. Olaf College, where I study with Dr. Catherine Ramirez and take pre-dental courses.

I am a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School, and am the former Principal Flutist of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Kansas City. I was Principal Flutist of the Kansas All-State Orchestra in my junior year of high school and held the Piccolo chair as a sophomore and senior. In the summer of 2012, I attended Interlochen Summer Arts Camp, where I performed in the World Youth Wind Symphony and the Interlochen Symphony Band. While a freshman in the Honors Program at UMKC, I also won the Overland Park Orchestra Youth Soloist Competition and was Runner-Up in the Midwest Chamber Ensemble Youth Concerto Competition. My previous teachers include Brielle Frost, Sophia Tegart, and Christina Webster.
