Savage Beat

Although Gabriel Berlanga has done the rounds, with records & mixes out on labels such as Correspondant, Nein and Melomana, undoubtedly here his Aeromuerto EP on Beachcoma brought this to us. A wonderful homage to analogue synths and the 16 step sequenced journeys they created brought aching joy to this R$N fella. Familiar at Razzmatazz, The Loft and Moog, Barcelona loves Undo.

With his own Factor City Records label (which has featured Club Bizarre, Offset and Morgan Hammer) to look after too, we asked the salt & pepper haired Catalonian to do a mix for us. And give us a little about his favourite food and stuff.

Fred Berthet aka DJ Steef signs the 16th release of the label by delivering an EP made of 3 tracks.

Ludodisco is an original disco track that has a groovy start with vocals and arrangements around dub effects. It follows with a mix of violins ascending into an intoxicating melody.  Adversity a down tempo track which reveals a jungle atmosphere with a chorus and subtle percussions. This track evolves as you listen revealing its unique ambiance that we love ! Two Reasons, classic deep house track. The perfect sound to start the evening.

After running into My Friend Dario recently, Hell Yeah chief Marco fell in love with some of the music he was played and so this next release had to happen.


The pair used to make music, specifically breakbeats, totters back in the day so go a long way back, Dario has a sound infused with world music and rebased the Sverna EP on this label before now. The ‘Sunset Outro’ track from this latest one has already been given big support by A Love From Outer Space so is set to be a big one.

The excellent ‘Sunset Outro’ takes a slightly darker turn, with heavy kicks and melancholic chords building an atmosphere. The chugging drums eventually get overlaid with a searching lead synth and vocal sounds that is perfect for getting the crowd into a groove.

Emmanuel, Dj niçois passionné, digger et touche à tout, bercé dans sa jeunesse par l'indie pop et la new wave des années 80, les prémisses de la musique house et techno, le hiphop et le funk, qui a fait ses armes pendant les années 90 et qui s'est affirmé dans les années 00 en participant à la création de deux établissements bien connu de la nuit niçoise : le Ghost Pub et le Bliss Bar.
