In this new release, Seeking the Velvet’s Creative Director Cora Novoa collaborates with the legendary Munich-based duo Chicks on Speed (Alex Murray-Leslie and Melissa Logan) to reinterprets the track “Wir Sind Data” into a dancefloor-filler remix, achieving a sublime balance of Chicks on Speed’s signature highly content saturated electro pop with Novoa’s own dark and techno sound landscapes, resulting in a cheeky, thought-provoking and techno track sure to hypnotize the dance-floor.

This new EP released under Cora Novoa’s ambitious project SKTVT features top-notch contributions from multidisciplinary artist, model and “It girl” Encarni Lovexxx, creator of the official video clip: a video art piece in 3D packed with digital references and in tune with the digital perspective of the project- and the high fashion conceptual couture store 44STORE & 44STUDIO, based in Madrid, who has designed a limited edition T-shirt inspired by “We Are Data” theme, available soon.

The original song features Chicks on Speed’s take on Peter Weibel & Hotel Morphila Orchester’s famous song “Wir Sind Daten”, a tribute to Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden from 2013, recorded in collaboration with Weibel for their last album Artstravaganza (2014), including contributions from a diverse range of collaborators like Yoko Ono and Julian Assange, among others.

About the artists:

The whole story begins in May 2017 when Shimon meets OUMK, both djing in a French country side Burner event. Aimed by the same musicals aspirations, the 2 recent projects came to murge as a duet and just started now to put their common vision in a real production process. 
"Music goes where the ideas flows". The young collaboration already find its own way into a refine deep ethnical identity with their first releases. Combining instrumentals insights with strong electronic intentions, Shimon and OUMK are traveling in inspirations, exploring the multiplicity of intentions and thematics.
Seeds are planted deep as the vision of the Sun and the Moon both up in the sky, bringing magic in music.

Iit’s easier to be a satellite than it is to be the Sun. It’s easier to respond to what someone else is doing than to initiate action on your own.
It’s easier to let someone else fill the conversational void so that you don’t have to come up with something to say, easier to yield the floor to someone than to claim it for yourself…
And it’s not just easier – it’s safer. If you’re singing harmony with the world, you can blame the melody if people don’t like the song. If you’re creating what someone asks you to create instead of what your heart tells you to, you have someone to blame if people don’t like the finished product.
If you don’t let the world see you, you can’t be rejected.
So yes, it is safer and easier to be the satellite. But it’s not what you came here to do…
There is only way to detach yourself from the gravitational pull of larger satellites, and that is to place yourself at the center of your own solar system. Be the one who sings the melody. Write your own stories.
You may doubt it, but the Leo Full Moon has news for you: you are not a satellite, not a reflection of anyone else. 
You are the Sun, filled with your own light, golden and warming, spilling out around the edges when your guard is down.
When you laugh, your eyes sparkle. When you speak from your heart, you’re thrilling to behold. Just look at you.
