Miss Jools releases may be be modest in number, but she is woven deeper than ever into the Mobilee fabric. In stepping back into the studio with Scott Kemp, Miss Jools has signalled that her production hiatus is officially over, and now Berlin's favourite transplant revisits the madness of her former home with London Asylum.
The title track stalks the city's late night streets, moody and brooding with a washy vocal treatment and a deep, sultry pace. "Counter Culture" is just as sleek and seductive, with a thick bassline and a vintage UK tech house feel. Fellow ex-Londoner  Anthea provides the "Expectation Remix" of "Counter Culture", but expect the unexpected: it's dark and stark, and a real deep techno workout.

"Set Actuel" c’est l’émission de repérages de DJs de Couleur 3. Chaque semaine, un DJ sélectionné par Joh Erba (Métissages) vient à la radio proposer un set de 52 minutes et présenter son boulot.
Pour cette première saison 2013, 14 candidats se succèdent. 4 finalistes seront désignés par un jury, avec à la clé pour le gagnant une émission sur Couleur 3 lors de la grille de fin d’année.

Just after the release of her magnificent Watergate-Compilation we are glad to announce La Fleur's new EP. "Arms Around" and "Stella" already appeared as exclusive material on "Watergate 16" and will be available as stand-alone versions on our in-house label.

The eponymous track is reminiscent of the melodic early-noughties, arouses nostalgia and makes us want to dance barefooted in the sunlight. The dreamy, synth-driven break guarantees a proverbial "Arms Around"-effect on the floor, just before the euphoric bassline kicks in again, accompanied by rattling hi-hats.

On the contrary, "Stella" is a reduced deep-house track, carried by filtered pads, vocal shreds and a never ending groove.

"Arms Around" was remixed by nobody less than Carl Craig. His "Affected Rmx" keeps the originals' charm but increases its intensity with precise accents. 

The EP will be released on June 23rd 2014 on vinyl and digital.
