I grew up listening to folk music, Beatles/rock-and-roll, then onto singer-songwriters ... the latter being the best description for me. I play acoustic guitar, sing, and write almost everything I record.

Bob Bennett wrote and recorded a cycle of songs meant not only to convey the heartache but also the hope that "hope" would someday return in full force. "I'm Still Alive Tonight" gives words/melody to a glimmer of gratitude in that direction. An artist's very personal diary entry that is, at the same time, universal to so many.

Dream

The Emmanuel Quartet is an acappella gospel group originating in 1989 as the "Highland Academy Men's Quartet."  In 1993 the quartet's name was changed and The Emmanuel Quartet was born.  

The members of the quartet are not only musicians, by desire, but also ministers of the gospel through music.  The mission of the quartet is to reflect God's love through music, reminding His people He is with us and returning soon.  Over the years, the faces have changed but the smooth harmonies and genuine spiritual message remain.

The quartet tours the United States presenting concerts to audiences of all ages and religious affiliations. They've also traveled internationally, participating in several evangelistic events.  The quartet's music is all acappella, featuring barbershop-style harmonies.  Concerts are presented in a manner that would compliment any Christian program.
