My first guest is my brother and partner at Deep House Dublin, Mr Fizzy Waters for the first part of the show. He was with us already in one of my previous shows. As for the second guest, he is Lisbon-born, UK based artist. His residency at Ministry Of Sound is definitely one of his proud moments. Nick’s passion for electronic music was set in motion decades ago after seeing Dimitri from Paris behind the decks. Techno fast became Nick’s genre of choice in the early days of spinning vinyl inspired by the likes of Jeff Mills and Derrick May. Over time, Nick’s tastes have mellowed, now opting for tunes from organic and deep house labels such as All Day I Dream, Anjundeep, Shanti Radio, Melody of the Soul, RYNTH and The Purr.

In recent years, Nick has been pivotal in bringing to Melbourne some of the biggest names in organic house such as Sébastien Léger [All Day I Dream / Lost Miracle], Double Touch [All Day I Dream, TRYBESof], Fede Pals [3rd Avenue; The Purr] and Jim Rider [All Day I Dream].

In addition to these artists, Nick has supported Kasey Taylor & Karl Pilbrow [Sudbeat], James Beetham [Late Night Music], DJ Koze [Pampa Records], Gerd Janson [Running Back, DE], Weird Sounding Dude [Anjunadeep / The Soundgarden], Dosem [Anjunadeep] and Martin Roth [Anjunadeep].

Nick has held residencies at Arbory Afloat, Music Room Melbourne and UK-based radio station AATM Radio and has played at numerous venues across Melbourne such as Brown Alley, My Aeon, Howler Bar, Bourke St Courtyard, Top Yard, Hotel Railway Brunswick and Kindred Bandroom.

This is an exploration of melodic soundscape that focuses on a consistent groove which represents the undying will of an individual who wishes to move forward. With epic synth melodies that follow and represent the ever-changing emotion of the individual.

Blackout 9th Anniversary Midland Oct '23- A&E Opening Set

Hailing from Canada, and now based in Singapore Emma tells her stories via a lexicon that’s instinctively comprehensible amongst those who call the dance floor their home. She’s eloquent with her glossary of grooves, spanning the expansive territories of house in both uplifting and tech-centric forms, indie dance with its vivacious synthy flavours, as well as techno that can be spiritually melodic or progressively thumpy. Chuggy basslines, mesmerising hooks and catchy vocals are elements she tends to dip into, creating a diverse palette that never stagnates.

The Canadian’s proclivity for the ones and twos stems from her party-led upbringing in London in the late ’90s and early ‘00s with institutions like Fabric, Ministry Of Sound, Turnmills and The Cross as her pivotal playgrounds. Her subsequent move to Singapore would further fan the flames of her unyielding passion, as she went on to become a staunch reveller at nightspots across the Lion City and a familiar face amongst the local rave community.

Emma’s love for an industry morphed into a mode of self-expression. Since finding her footing, she’s been establishing herself in a scene that’s become the launchpad for her forward-facing trajectory. She’s part of the Thugshop Collective and resident DJ at esteemed nightclubs Tuff Club and Headquarters. She played at the Manifest 4th Anniversary pool party, the Sunny Side Up FOMOHOMO queer brunch party, and had her debut at Offtrack a music-centric restaurant bar in Singapore in April 2023. Most recently she was part of the lineup for the Shagrilla KL party at CeLaVi Singapore, and the Blackout Agency 9th Anniversay supporting Midland in Oct 2023. She has also been featured in online music publication, Life In Arpeggio, where she partook in its 15-Min Flash Mix series.

When it comes to dance music, you can’t fake devotion. And as a raver’s DJ, she’s got plenty of it.
