Infinite Lies in the Now (EP)

Paralysants & Febrifuges is the first full-length album to come out of Empathogen's attempt to make introspective electro-acoustic music. The album presents two side-long pieces of gentle yet emotionally concentrated music.

The second side, Forgone Febrifuges, begins in a creepy, noir fever dream that slowly becomes placated by circulating light. This revelation leads to a deep intestinal rumbling that quickly rises to the head before settling back down in the center of the abdomen for a slow float down a wide river of lily pad pianos and pink and purple electronics. The six healing vocal sounds are then invoked before sending the patient off wrapped in a cloud of warm fuzz.

Paralysants & Febrifuges (Side B): Forgone Febrifuges

Paralysis & Febrifuges is the first full-length album to come out of Empathogen's attempt to make introspective electro-acoustic music. The album presents two side-long pieces of gentle yet emotionally concentrated music.

Side A, Prescribed Paralysants, begins by pulling the patient into a granulated whirlpool of breath. Down through the chamber we emerge into a tall purple cathedral, a grand hall of melancholic reflection. "Supreme God [the healer within] is omnipotent. He knows everything... That is the difference between the supreme personality of godhead and ordinary living beings." This contemplation reveals a blinding light that engulfs the patient in pastoral swirls, followed by waves of pianos that slowly empty all pain and regret, allowing calm to circulate throughout the body. The safe words "good music and a good feeling" awaken the patient back to real life, an easy stride and a serendipitous encounter with a cosmology teacher, who explains the difference between the linear and the oscillating conceptions of our universe.

RAINBOW IMPULSE THERAPY is the second full length album by NYC based musician Empathogen. Once again utilizing live instruments such as double bass, guitar and voice as well as digital electronics, Empathogen slows down even further this time, presenting three long pieces of colorful, ambient drones.

Empathogen is the electronic moniker of NYC multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Jozwiak. After years of making acoustic experimental music and playing in bands across the genre spectrum, he is following his intuition and creating softer music for reflection and healing. Utilizing the cello, double bass, guitar, piano, saxophone and voice and transforming them with digital electronics, Empathogen creates sweet, colorful, droning ambience.
