Empress Iatia (I Am That I Am) has been cultivating her art for more than 14 years with a musical background that began at the age of 3 and continued as she sharpened her skills as a trombone player in high school and with the UCF marching knights. Soon she began to pursue as a performing rap artist by opening for groups such as Goodie MOB, Outkast, A Tribe Called Quest, and Busta Rhymes at local venues in Orlando, FL
 As host of the "Wake Up Babylon" show for one of the most listened to shoutcast raidio stations on the internet, 95Live.com she has worked with Orlando's only underground influences Raw 94 and 91.3FM.It was with the station's underground influence that she was able to showcase her music as well as some of her favorite influences such as Billie Holiday, Salt-N-Pepa, Tupac Shakur, Erykah Badu, the Fugees and more. She was a nominee for the Orlando Urban Music awards and has worked with producers such as Mas, DJ Prostyle, Dogmen Ent., and Big Leak from Earasponsable Productions and has showcased her talents at such venues as Indigo Soul Lounge and Dennis Scott's Club Tabu.
