Empty Spaces is an experimental musical project born from the encounter between Hugo Bourgade, a French electronic music producer, and Joe Longhurst, an English guitarist. 
From the dialogue between two radically different styles of music, minimal house and blues rock, they have crafted a unique style, to which they like to refer as "garage techno". 
Their music is absolutely underground, uncompromisingly unadorned and darkly hypnotic. To aggressive beats answer melodic riffs, creating themes that are both poetic and brutal. Their influences are vast, including tech house, rock & roll, trip hop, jazz and downtempo.
The name Empty Spaces imposed itself when the pair discovered that they were both obsessed by the silences "between the notes", which according to Mozart were the very essence of music.
