Be Free Now is Empty Beach's first album. The songs on this album were written and recorded from 2019 through to 2023 in Melbourne's inner north. These songs draw on themes of escape, freedom and anxiety about the future and the need to make a better world.

We are burning up the rules mixing analogue and digital, guitars and synths, percussion and drum machines, humour and horror, love and despair, hope and hopelessness.

We are two Brunswick guitarists who reconnected at a Gang Of Four show in 2019. We spent 2020 figuring out how to self-produce our own music. The result was our 2021 self-titled EP which was followed by our debut album, Be Free Now, in 2023. Our latest album Heatwave is available from EMPTYBEACHMUSIC.BANDCAMP.COM on 1st May 2024.
