This piece is a triptych of sorts, offering three perspectives on the sea and auralizing them into three movements. The first movement, Suspended, takes us into a slow motion wave on the cusp of cresting. It is the gathering of potential energy into a swirl of suspended motion before it releases into a crash of sound. The second movement zooms into the ripples and small splashes of surface water waves crashing. It highlights the shimmering, capricious, and light nature of water. The final movement attempts to capture the stillness of deep water— tranquil and profoundly quiet with minuscule hints of bubbling movement below.
