Opening the month of July, Madloch's Sound Avenue welcomes Domingo + back to the label for a new EP. Formerly one half of the Mariner + Domingo duo, American artist Chris Domingo has compiled an impressive resume across a two-year stretch. Upon making his debut on Balkan Connection in July of 2020, the Florida resident went on a remarkable run, landing releases via 3rd Avenue, Proton Music, RYNTH and The Purr. Perhaps his most comfortable landing spot was Madloch's long-standing Sound Avenue imprint, where Mariner + Domingo released ten originals across ten months, none more impactful than 'Another Life' and 'Inertia', which earned play and support from Lee Burridge, Tim Green and Sebastien Leger. 2022 marked Chris' beginnings as a solo artist, with the freshly coined Domingo + alias. The Florida resident got the year underway with his latest Sound Avenue vehicle 'Hardway', a two-track showcase which set the course for what has been a prolific six months. Now on the strength of a remix for label affiliate 3rd Avenue, Domingo + returns to his comfortable home of Sound Avenue with 'Just Drive'. 

Picking up on the themes he brought to 'Hardway', Chris has created three new tracks rich with spirit and allusion. Beginning with the creamy tonal textures and mallet-like clusters of 'Just Drive', an unexpected mood is revealed through haunted phrasing and celestial sonics. Evoking a bucolic style ecstasy, this rolling piece eventually breaks into a groovy mediative finale, one that is sure to lift the mood of your dance floor.

Moving forward with 'Light and Sound', Domingo + sustains an understated yet confident club energy. Fluttery drum arrangements and voluptuous bass lines set the course for oriental motifs and hopeful voices. Panoramic sequences and timely drum flurries provide a brief but timely interlude, before breaking off into a rush of clattering percussion and rolling rhythmic structures.

More enigmatic yet is the EPs closer 'Tribal Call', a creation which finds Chris etching towards a lighter monochrome. Dulcet kick drums and summery qualities lead to electrified iterations of new age sonics. Clever percussive coactions underpin a fascinating blend of enthusiastic projections, before segueing into a finale of sentimental tones and drum-driven euphoria. A fitting conclusion to three charming tracks from Domingo +, an artist who continues to have an exceptional year operating under his thriving solo moniker.

Madloch's Sound Avenue welcomes Secretly Famous back to the label for their second artist EP. Hailing from Australia, the Secretly Famous production duo first emerged in 2021 on the strength of early offerings such as 'Chimera' and 'On Fire'. Noted for their ability to marry traditional and contemporary progressive sounds, the Secretly Famous duo was quickly tipped as a production team to watch going forward. The next three calendar years would see the Aussie duo continue to refine their sound, resulting in an aesthetic that was both groovy and melodic. Secretly Famous would begin their creative partnership with Sound Avenue in 2022, in the form of a well-received debut via label affiliate Future Avenue, a two-track EP which would go on to yield twenty-five additional appearances across the Belgian label collective. Perhaps none more impactful was the duo's Sound Avenue debut, a progressive take on 'One Word' by Estonian duo about : river, a project which landed with a resounding thump just over a year ago.

The first part of 2024 was highlighted by two EP's 'Yeon' and 'Outlive', which was a five-track showcase which takes a deeper look into the duo's far-reaching repertoire. Now they're back with the first sampler for their upcoming album which is set for release early next year. The duo presents the first 3 tracks of that album "Cherry Rip, Inspired & watermelon."

“Definition EP” is a new, forward-thinking release from electronic music producer Flo Mrzdk. This artist stands out for his personal take on techno and deep house, and this new release on Straight AHEAD music certainly affirms his amazing production skills and great qualities ad a studio Techhouse producer. This release will be published in October 2017, and it will actually feature 4 brand new songs, including two original tracks and two remixes. The first song, “Definition”, gives its name to the EP and it stands out for its dense beat and gripping atmospheres. The arrangements are sparse, yet lavish and rich, with many layers of harmonies and melodies adding something more to the mix on various layers. As a result, the production feels kaleidoscopic and balanced, going for a diverse and personal blend of sound. On the other hand, Cielo, keeps the pace going, enhancing the rhythm and thickening the sonic layers. The remixed versions, curated by Boss Axis and by Peter Juergens, offer a whole different take on these melodies, with punchier drums and a very original arrangement.
