Sublimix #74 features non other than a rising star of the New Zealand bass music scene. Having just released a bangin' 'Dreams' EP on Unchained Recordings as well as her self-released debut LP 'Morphling'. Some of you may have caught her performing for the infamous Keep Hush series in Christchurch alongside Alix Perez and Headland for the 1985 Showcase. It is an absolute pleasure to host this fresh mix from one of our favorite producers in recent months! 

"For this mix I wanted to delve into some of the fresh tempo’s and styles of bass music that have been inspiring my spiral out from my Drum and Bass roots. I feel like there’s a richness in the possibilities of music at 130-140bpm, drawing from jungle, dubstep and breakbeat. I also filled this mix with a lot of my own productions, this style is where I’m headed with my next year of music. Thank you for this opportunity to share and taking the time to listen."

It's been quite a while since we hosted a new mix in the IFSM series, but it's with great pleasure we bring Boneless into the helm to showcase his current flavours across a pallet of styles and spectrums. As expected, the Canadian producer and DJ lays down a heavyweight sound-bending journey throughout this session, meandering between some truly heavy sounds, and the old-school licked vibes we've come to know him for. 
We were really big fans of what he laid down on Joe Nice's GourmetBeats, alongside his recent Sleepwalking on Off-Switch Audio, and if this mix is anything to go by it would appear he's sat on plenty more hot & heavy material.

For the final instalment of our Final Fort 2019 mix series we have dubstep pioneer Youngsta providing a high energy, 140 focused mix. From the days of Tempa records to his current imprint Sentry, Youngsta has been at the forefront playing an important role supporting the up and coming producers throughout the scene and continuing the legacy deep within the scene. This mix displays the energy you'll witness within a Youngsta set whether at the fort or otherwise, making no exceptions with selections, packed full of dubs and exclusives from a variety of rising producers as well as a sprinkle of his own production.

Her exceptional ear for dubstep nourishes her mixes with a unique character that leans distinctively towards the dark side, guiding a tasteful and forward-thinking selection. With a slew of prestigious accolades and endorsements including Outlook Festival, UKF, Croydub, 1985 Music, Rinse FM, Deep Medi, and also hosting a monthly residency on Bristol based radio show SWU FM, it’s clear to see that she’s doing something right.

She is also the mind behind Dynamics: a growing database and platform that celebrates female, female-identifying and non-binary artists in dubstep and drum & bass. With this exciting new initiative only just dawning, and a reliably gripping musical output, there is an encouraging future ahead for this DJ-cum-activist.
