I wrote this song in the late 90s sometime and originally recorded it with my tiny 4-track tascam. Because of tape deck issues, this recording has been slowed down slightly and my voice sounds lower than it really is.  The concept is silly/cheesy, but I still think it's a great metaphor (the idea of love jail), and probably an idea that most people can related to. Even though the song sounds serious and sad, it was funny to me at the time. I came across the songs today while going through my old hard drive looking for music. Apparently I re-recorded it, but I don't recall doing it. My guess is that the new version was recorded around 2008-2009 after leaving Los Angeles and moving to Virginia. I hope someone enjoys it. I think the new version is better, but I dig the drum beat from my generic toy 37 electronic keyboard in the old version and the bad off the cuff casio keyboard solo. I used to write just a bare bottoms riff or song lyrics and then just record and have fun. I played guitar even worse than I do now. The old song was recorded when all I owned guitar-wise was a toy bass that was impossible to keep in tune.

Sneak Peak: Low Class Clown

I was up dead late one night a while back watching River Monsters for the first time about some almost mythical big fish beast that eats children for fun in some remote tropical place and I jotted down words as the programme went on. Everything was good n the end and the good guy got the girl and I went on one a bit cos it goes on forever. Recorded at The Spare Room.

Voodoolady 2017

I signed up for this project. It is to produce 12 original songs in 12 hours, 12 times a year.  I've been in a bit of a music mania right now so this ended up being pretty easy.  A few of them took more than an hour, most took well under an hour--about a half hour...
