At the end of last year he showcased his tastes and influences in a mix or Bicep's Feel My Bicep mix series which gave listeners a glimpse into both his record bag and his own productions. Having delivered remixes for Psychemagik and Eclectic, last week saw the release of his new EP Coat Bra Pants on Me Me Me which includes remixes from Not An Animal's Chris Stoker and Robert Johnson resident Gerd Janson.

Tora Vinter returns to Bror Records on its first anniversary record, presenting two uplifting yet at the same time emotional tracks, including a guest remix appearance by Harald Björk (Kranglan Broadcast/Studio Barnhus).

In Tora’s own words: “Peri-Banu is number three in a series of songs portraying female characters from Thousand and One Nights. Peri-Banu is wise, powerful and beautiful and she is the coolest character in a story full of weak, violent and power hungry men.”

On Kid Kid:
”The kids stole my phone and made a number of recordings that I found. I processed them and included it. For me having kids is about love, joy, worries, fear, soul searching, expansion but most of all fun.“ - On the B-side, Harald Björk features a clubbier “Venus Version” of Kid Kid, described: “When I heard the original track I got a vibe of ”life” and ”birth”. I have a quite new grown interest in astrology and was heavily interested in the Mercury Venus conjunction in the 1st house of cancer while working on the track”

Paris-based project 404 - not to be confused with the London hip hop punksters of the same name - came together recently after operating individually in the French electronic music scene.

Their diverse inspirations and interests create a sound that is much greater than the sum of its parts; it's machine-driven music with nods to IDM, dub, krautrock and jazz, that they translate through immersive performances using image and sound.

This week's mix is a live recording of a set they played in Nantes for Abstract Records' Release Party, a French label that they'll be releasing their next EP on...

The record is based around the same subject - a new word meant to disparage the assumption that the chemical processes of extraterrestrial life must be constructed primarily from carbon, because its properties are far superior to other elements.

Ritmos is the alias of L.A. via Honduras music producer Roberto Espinosa. The Ritmos EP features the magic touch of Detroit keyboardist Jon Dixon on "Finding Who You Are". The second track "Starseed" takes us on an abstract journey where polyrhythms and moody chords collide. "Words of Fire" finds the legendary Lee "Scratch" Perry contributing vocals to a primal body mover with it's fusion of original dub riddims and style over a 4/4 floor filler. Finally, Yaxteq's own Nomadico strips down "Words of Fire" for a retro-futuristic Dub Techno remix .

And now, in their sets and performances, Jonny Sriraxa and LuciB aim to transmit the entirety of that accumulated energy through rhythms oriented towards the dance floor--evoking reflection through motion-- and flowing across a variety of genres, histories, and influences that fuse the old, new, and still-evolving.
