Hello bass family! I bring you vibrations from the start of the season here in Bristol at the Jam Jar, the stomping ground of the weird and truly wonderful folk of the Psychedelic Jelly tribe. After over four years away from the decks, it felt so fucking good to be behind them again.

Encounters, from Bay Area based producer Tyler Hovestadt, is a downtempo electronic project blending ambient, downtempo, and live percussion that seeks to find balance between organic musicality and electronic exploration. In August 2022, Encounters released his debut album "A Path Beyond"  followed by "A Path Beyond Remixed" in 2023,  “Circuit Breaks” in 2024 and "Purple Thumb" in 2025. Encounters has since performed with notable artists in the downtempo scene such as Kaya Project, Younger Brother, Ott, Bluetech, Carbon Based Lifeforms and more.
