Camilo Gil gives you this beautiful 2 hour exclusive VINYL ONLY podcast!  A true journey through our beloved genre and its history. 
DJ, producer, promoter & cultural manager in Chile, born in Temuco, with a career spanning 2 decades evolved from an enthusiastic raver of the mid-90s.   His musical references range from House in Detroit, to minimalism in Frankfurt, to acid in Chicago and Manchester, as well as his roots in jazzy hip hop, and the new wave and British synth pop.    As a DJ Camilo Gil began to acquire his first vinyl at the end of the 90s, as a music lover & a dream to spin the wax like his brother Nacho Gil, legendary house DJ in Chile, did.   Years pass, his name begins to make calls in clubs, bars and after hours in Chile, and this creates his group and parties known as 'ROCK THA HOUSE', where he promotes parties with vinyl-only DJs, and exclusively house music and all its forms, in different clubs around the country.   Camilo's unique sounds have brought him to share the stage with Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Move D, Daniel Bell, Luciano,  Richie Hawtin,  Mike Shannon, Rick Wade, Mike Huckaby, Mark Broom, Djebali, Jef K, Terry Francis, Evil Eddie Richards, Sascha Dive, Makam, Delano Smith, Dandy Jack,  Mihai Popoviciu, and even supporting bands like Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack & New Order.   His prized vinyl collection makes him today a benchmark of music in Chile, being a teacher in his own academy, as a radio host and FM content, and his musical style takes him from ambient and abstract sounds, to Energetic sets from classic house, to the deepest techno, and American soul.   Together with his brother Nacho Gil, he maintains a duo consecrated 15 years ago called GX2, of Dj Sets using only vinyl, and they have been in charge of the well-known radio stream RTS.FM SANTIAGO for 8 years, exporting the best of Chile to the world , work carried out for the musical culture in Chile.  Camilo took his first step in production in 2007 as Dj Sony, and his first teacher and friend & an emblem in Chile; Miguel Tutera (Eukahouse Records), & Later Felipe Venegas (Cadenza - Drumma) gave him the weapons to start the path in both solo projects to take a giant leap with his partners in Spain such as the duo [ØNE + 1], on his tour in Ibiza in 2016 Camilo launched his own vinyl label called W3IRD.LTD.   In a historical event they managed to sign for the most important labels in the history of house such as TRAX CHICAGO, and NITEGROOVE NYC, as well as journeying through vinyl editions in labels such as Andes Music, Hermine, BlaBla, System 108, Detroit Dexterity, La Vie En Rose, Pulse, and Trax Research Chicago.    His works have been remixed by legends such as  Sascha Dive, Mark Ambrose, Mihai Popoviciu, Aprapta, Terry Francis,  Martinez, and Terence Terry & more.   Within Chile with their great friend Rodrigo Valdivia, he runs duo AREA51,  which signed for Cadenza with remixes from Chilean legends like Alexi Delano & the voices from TEA TIME, later jumping to labels like  Levitar, Moowi, Rawax, Ruta5, Dandy Jack's label - Edge, B.Soul, Cenital, and Sustaine(UK). These shared credits with their track THIS TIME with figures like Amir Alexander, Simoncino, Reggie Dokes & Benjamin Brunn. Camilo Joins Suena Hermosa with a beautiful vinyl EP to come in 2022 with remixes from legendary Jay Tripwire and DJ Jes (Chicago). We we are honoured to have Camilo on board the Suena Agency since it's launch in late 2021.
