Grammik and Monarke return to Steyoyoke with this wistful and driving single, “Abroad”. With its lush, awe-inspiring soundscapes and driving bassline, this piece will pull people into a peak time frenzy.
This pacey track is fuel for the body. Every delicate component, from its bells to its rapid hat, is set to a 16th note driving gate. Before too long, the listener is compelled to move. The intense stride of the track is sensually juxtaposed by the tactile, full, and exciting atmospheres, which flow around the bass and drum work like water over stones. This all culminating to a point of rising tension until emotion spills through.
“Abroad” is the brainchild of two expert storytellers through sound. Through this ethereal masterpiece, one will be whisked to a pensive yet hopeful land.

Sound Avenue opens the month of November by showcasing new interpretations of 'Club Del Ocio' by Madloch and Subnode. Originally released in August of this year as the B-side to the duo's 'A Fading Dream' EP, the deep mesmerizing nine-minute journey certainly has a meaningful story to tell. Over five years in the making, the origins of 'Club Del Ocio' date back to 2017 when Sound Avenue label boss Madloch had a gig at the club for which the track was coined. Located in Salta, a rich cultural city in Argentina's mountainous northwestern region, the uniquely constructed ten-room open concept venue would produce one of the most memorable nights of Madloch's career. Taking inspiration from the four-hour set, Madloch would return home to Belgium and begin work on a piece to emulate the vibe of what proved to be such a noteworthy gig. Worked on and shelved over the course of the next year, the foundation of the track was in place for the emergence of Subnode; Madloch's now steadfast studio collaborator. Together the duo would work on the track over the next half decade, eventually resulting in a haunting slice of dubbed out atmospheric deep house. Now, looking to bring the spirit of the track to a cross-section of new dancefloors, Sound Avenue invites label returnees about : river and Andres Moris, alongside debutant Alexander Bogdanovic to reimagine the track in their own essence.

For his first EP of 2020, Brian Cid returns to his Endangered imprint with Be One; 4 powerful tracks flowing seamlessly between melodic techno & progressive house.

Last year saw Brian Cid continue the development of his Endangered label with the release of his Light In The Lotus EP, the signing of upcoming talent from all over the world, the launch of a new VA series, and label-branded events held everywhere from Brooklyn & Miami, to Canada, India, and The Dominican Republic.  After a recent EP on Audiofly’s Supernature label, and a remix on Fur Coat’s Odd:ity, Brian is back on his own creative outlet with Be One. 

“Monocerotis” is the first track on the release, and starts it off with a brooding techno vibe.  Multiple listens are required to decipher the brilliant layering of sounds weaving in & out, leading to a tension-building breakdown, and supported with a foundation of subtle tribal drums.  The journey continues on more of a progressive tip with the second track, “Cometas Y Cometas”.  As with all of Brian’s releases, a story is being told, and in this chapter the listener is made to feel like they’re floating to the next destination with the dreamy vibe created here.

Following is the title track “Be One”, which is the origin of the concept behind the project.  Brian explains: “After experiencing a deep travel in my worlds within, I became One. One with my energy & sounds. Vibrations. On this journey, we are taking a ride where the atmosphere opens up as broken sky, and the rhythms of the land breathe deep in your body. A healing shower of sounds with a live, analogue and digital feel; a sea of possibilities”. “Fill The Void” is the finale, and this story ends with a banger.  Driving melodic techno, combined with synth work bouncing back & forth; this is Brian Cid at his deepest & darkest.
