Stereo Ferment returns with Quorum Sensing II, the follow-up to their 2020 debut compilation.
This release brings together a set of DJ friendly tracks from friends and collaborators in Canada, Thailand, the UK, and Ireland. Curated by label heads Brad Weber and Cayden Mowbray, this compilation reflects the range of sounds that shape the Stereo Ferment world.
From Balearic Bollywood grooves to driving Afro-folk-tinged techno, Quorum Sensing II highlights the label’s ongoing interest in the fusion of old and new sounds spanning the globe.

Bondage Music continues its ‘Home (Remixes)' package this July with part three, featuring Sven Tasnadi, Pablo Bolivar, Martin Aquino and more. Mihai Popoviciu: "The album's called "Home" because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric "gate" to both leave and return home." With ‘Home' gaining the attention and picking up support from the likes of Ryan Crosson, Luciano and Cesar Merveille, the Bondage-Music team now welcome to an array of talent to the label for 2017 as the LP is deconstructed and reworked across four brand new packages. Across the remix package Pablo Bolivar turns in a sun drenched acid-tinged take on ‘Sandstone', Frink strips back ‘Hypnosia' to a raw groove-led vibe and Martin Aquino dubs out ‘Sunshine' with swirling chords. Sven Tasnadi offers up a heady interpretation of ‘Music 999' to follow fuelled by stuttering vocals, stab sequences and a bumpy drum workout before Schlepp Geist & Krink's remix of ACK closes the package on a dark and brooding tip.

We are delighted to welcome back Mihai Popoviciu on our label after his successful remix on the track ’Nightcrawler’.  
His unique style and the quality of his productions made him a member of the deep house hall of fame and his tracks are always on the top of the charts.

We are sure the 2 originals and 3 remixes of the EP will lighten up all the deep house lovers’ heart. There is no question that this is the strongest EP ever on our imprint! 1000% quality music!  The title track ‘Flux’ is an epic bit of deep house that is one of the best tunes in the genre now in our honest opinion, perfect melodies on a smooth levitating foundation.  The 2nd original ’Lotus’ is the other side of the coin with its great dubby groove and catchy melodies.

On remix duties we asked the Pornbugs duo to rethink the title track Flux. The head honchos of the amazingly successful deep house label ‘Bondage Music ‘ created a remix which focuses on mesmerizing melodies and sweet percussions.

On Flux we got another amazing reinterpretation from an upcoming deep & tech house artist James Cole (All I Want, Gruuv) he put the groove to the center of his version, so the result became a real dancefloor groover.

On Lotus the TSM label bosses Peter and Greg took the opportunity to make yet another great tune in which they mixed their easily recognisable grooves with the original track’s nice melodies.

We have no doubt that all the DJs who love the Deep House genre will find a suitable track for their sets in this release.  Take a listen to the EP and make your own choice.

The uber-talented Romanian DJ and producer Mihai Popovicu is considered one of the most innovative eastern European producers of electronic music today and finally returns to Poker Flat Recordings once again. 

Continuing his rich vein of form into 2019, the Understand EP drops soon after his collaboration with James Dexter, and once again shows why he's well worth getting excited about. 

First up on this release is 'Inside Me', which underlines Popoviciu's perfect understanding of how to create rich and thick grooves from a minimum of sources. The track bumps and rolls, helped along by a deep, evolving bass lead that will undoubtedly get rinsed all over the summer. 

Similarly, 'Understand' keeps the vibe - a heavy tech house hitter with some classic feeling stabs and nice vocal snippets.
