Endemic Emerald & Skanks the Rap Martyr present their collaboration album opus entitled Rapsploitation. Producer Endemic first met Skanks in Brooklyn mid-2013 when he first touched down in NYC. The duo built on the Nostrand Ave blocks & started to work instantly as they shared a similar stance on hip hop. Skanks stated: “I first rocked on Endemic’s beats on the Ruste Juxx Adamantine project which he produced for Duckdown Records, so I knew a joint project would be Ill. Working with him also allowed me to sharpen my skills as an engineer & I recorded material for G Stats & Bankai Fam after we built a studio on my block in Crown Heights”

“Trouble” is the project’s lead single which portrays tales of US police taking innocent black lives. Skanks breaks down his frustration with the recent events while another Crown Heights O.G – Eric E-Class Wright intensifies the track with his vocals on the hook. Skanks is a founding member of Brooklyn’s Bankai Fam who released their debut, On my side, in 2013 & has also released an influential solo LP on French label; Shinigami records. At age twelve he was known as Problem Child & opened up for MC Lyte on numerous US tours, gaining accolades from many of the 90’s legends.

Originally hailing from the UK he is now based out of NYC & still maintains a role in the UK scene. Revenge Of The Truence delivers a brilliant and raw new single, “The Outbreak,” that proves this NYC duo is about to get heads get people’s attention with their forthcoming EP, 'H1N1.'

Right out of the gate, “The Outbreak” makes it clear that R.O.T.’s MuGGz and Tay Dayne aren’t f*cking around with their verses. Both emcees deliver bars that blend the abstract with the direct, painting lyrical pictures that take repeated listens to decipher and understand. 

The thing is, you’ll only grow to love their rhymes more with each spin as you pick up on lines like, “Same time Arnold killed Tookie, sh*t was foul on my mental/ N***as turn they back on me, finger-pointin’, rattin’ on me” and “Every dog has its day, don’t get caught with no fleas/ Better cover all your dues or get covered in fees.”

The single is produced by close collaborator Endemic Emerald (Sean Price, Wu-Tang), who also provided the beats for the entire project. His instrumental is the ideal grime-covered canvas for the two members of R.O.T. to showcase their talents, and just wait until you hear the rest of what they’ve put together on H1N1.

Revenge of the Truence’s MuGGz and Tay Dayne waste no time getting to the point on their great new EP, 'H1N1,' produced entirely by frequent collaborator Endemic Emerald. They kick things off by landing a massive uppercut with the lead single, “The Outbreak,” and they never take a moment to rest until the closing track fades. It’s a signal of immediacy that coincides with the New York duo’s mission statement of keeping it moving with a steady stream of quality releases.
 
Since releasing their debut 'Rot4ever' in 2015, they’ve dropped a staggering four albums and six EPs, with each building on what came before it. “The progression is what keeps me going,” Tay says of their strong work ethic. “Not only seeing how the music gets better and better, but also seeing people’s reception to our art.” 
 
To say that fans and newcomers alike will be receptive to 'H1N1' is a massive understatement. There is so much to dig into and digest on this EP’s six tracks, whether you’re in it for Endemic’s grimy aesthetic, MuGGz and Tay’s quotable verses, or the tack-sharp songwriting. While tracks like “The Outbreak” and “H1N1” highlight their rapping chops, the duo really shows off their pen game on standouts “Trading Places” and “Major Ways.” After all, there’s a good reason those tracks are among Endemic and Tay’s favorites. “They’re beats with bars and a message,” Tay says.

While the hard-hitting truths of “The Lockdown” are certainly relevant and speak to so many current issues, the majority of the album was actually recorded prior to the civil unrest and pandemic that have shaken the country. That’s because the two artists had linked years back—and even recorded a lost album together—with the knowledge that they were meant to connect for an entire project.

That’s what brings us to Antediluvian King, which conceptually speaks to a time taking place before a biblical flood (which is unbelievably prescient).
