Reneé Rapp - Bruises (remix)

Been excited to release this track as soon as I first listened to the main guitar sample used; the chords strumed are so plenitudal, so it was the perfect basis for a track such as this. Being more stripped back, it feels a little different from most of my releases, but whones itself in with an atmospheric execution. I just like the vibe of Blissful Fellowship as it's a simple, yet chill relaxing track. For a video game, I'd say it'd work well for something like the main menu or a grass-esque level. Been enjoying making these video game-focused tracks, and hope to continue that in the future!

Metris - Blissful Fellowship

Out of all of the tracks released, this is definitely the one that I connect to the most. From the ambient nature of the track flowing throughout to the ethereal sound design, it has a soothing overtone. But what I love most are the lyrics as they are personal specifically to me. Basically, I have troubles expressing myself, and it often seems like from others that I just have a stoic expression all the time. Personally, I find it difficult to express myself physically with others, yet can do so better when on my own (or at least with people I know). Because of how I can't connect with others that well (partially due to my lack of expression), it has lead to depression in recent years. So it was something I truly wanted to write about and making a song for, because it reflected on me as a person. Whilst I have had lyric-based tracks in the past, I definitely put the most effort into Expressionless as conveying the message of the song in my way was something that couldn't be half-assed; in the end, I think I succeeded. To anyone who relates to this song as well, I consider that a bonus. The track is quite specific with its theming and whatnot, so wasn't intended for being to related with first (moreso understand), but I know others struggle with stuff like this as well, so conveying that in whatever way possible can be nothing but a good thing. Metris - Expressionless

This whole remix is sort of an accident. Basically, I was looking for something interesting as a Tv Show as nothing really tickled my fancy... until I came across a little show called Totally Completely Fine; without spoiling the premise or anything else about it, it is quite the dark show (something which I love) but does balance that out with humour. I've only watched the first episode but I'm intrigued to continue watching. Anyway, whilst watching the first episode, I quickly noticed how great it's OST was. Having a an almost retro-esque sound design to each track, they still felt modern in terms of the pads and chords at play, leading to some slight, yet really euphoric tracks. My favourite was 'Save' due to the piano ballad alone, but also the atmospheric feel to it. Originally, I intended to create a mashup, but I quickly knew that wouldn't be enough and wanted to do something more with this track; hence, the remix was born. Literally, I began on it Thursday night, got back on it across Sunday and finished it up today. I didn't want to rush it as I genuinely enjoyed the concept of the remix, but ig I'm actually getting more efficient at finishing my works for once lol. Giving the track a more trance/house-y feel to it was definitely the intention, and I feel that was achieved with the drums used and the bouncy bass. For further atmosphere, I included some additional pads and other sounds interspersed during the slower sections to build on the original. There isn't too much for me to say about what I added to it in all honesty, other than I enjoyed working on it a lot and hope others enjoy it too.
