David Bowie tells me about the influence of Kraftwerk when he was making Low, Heroes and Lodger in late 70s Berlin. From a long interview we did for Front Row, BBC Radio 4, around the release of the Heathen album. Interview was conducted in a rehearsal studio in the meatpacking district. The pic shows him holding my ancient copy of Space Oddity. His face expresses displeasure at being asked to look back.
