A Safe Distance by Special Effects Department is about the barriers inherent in our experiences. It evokes a fragmented image seen through a rain-spattered window or our perceptions filtered through the screens of technology. The track began as an experiment in creative constraints, using only one sample to construct all of the initial arrangement.
