“Me costó meterme en el mood ya que llevaba mucho tiempo sin pinchar pero después de unos intentos entré en calor y no encontraba el momento de parar. Al final fueron tres horas. Pensé en hacer un edit y cortar por algún lado pero ya que lo tenía grabado, por qué cortarlo. Os lo comparto tal y como quedó”.  El estilo, el de siempre de Refracted: techno como idea y conducto más que como sonido fácilmente etiquetable. Música de baile en la que los ritmos en capas actúan casi a nivel subepidérmico, neuronal donde los paisajes sonoros en movimiento y evolución adquieren una fisicidad táctil.

Para el productor y dj afincado en Berlín, la música electrónica, y el techno en particular, es el medio elegido para encontrar su voz para conectar, más allá de un entretenimiento formulista o una banda sonora para bailar. MTRL (material) is a versatile art and music project by Lukas Weinlein. Driven by his interest in different ways of artistic expression, he started experimenting with sounds at a young age, tapping into many different styles of music. This insightful journey shaped his current understanding of music and ultimately led him to the endless possibilities of electronic music, inspired by the infinite cosmos and organic voices of nature. Having bonded with a multitude of great artists helped to refine his style and created a sphere of inspiration around him. The name for this specific art project was chosen because the definition of the word material, the matter from which a thing is or can be made, fits the purpose of the project very good. So the aim of MTRL is to create an audiovisual experience from existing or non-existing matter for open-minded brains. Together with Dycide and Polygonia he is one of the minds behind the label IO.

Born in Valencia and based in Berlin, Daniel Kyo has been for 20 years now releasing music non-stop, including works on labels such as Hivern Discs and Nitsa Traxx, which has made him gain wide respect in the European electronic music scene. Since the recent creation of his alias CØRE he has been deeply immersed in the hypnotic side of techno with releases out on Norite, Edit Select and Sungate, to name a few. As a DJ, he’s played all around the globe from Tokyo to New York, as well as including clubs like Panorama Bar (Berlin) and festivals like Primavera Sound (Barcelona).

After notable appearances on high caliber labels like AFFIN, Dorian Gray, Khoros and Space Textures, Brazilian artist Cauê kicks off his new label Ogan presenting a deep, dense and hypnotic 4 track ep, with great driving groove and rhythms directed to the dancefloor. Atunwa transposes the deep, dark and atmospheric sound, bouncing between weightless movements of higher frequency and dense undertones of kick drums and drones.

Dixie grew up in the streets of Milan among graffiti, Neapolitan funk and hip hop, leaving some space here and there for listenings of all kinds. The result is a great mix of influences, in music as well as in life, thanks to a walkman and a thousand worlds that characterize the everyday life of Via Padova.
The love for electronic music explodes very early and absorbs all the energy, adolescence flies away quickly between clubs, festivals and the first experiences at the consoles. After a few years and several adventures around the world, in 2015 he lands at Masada and with a group of friends founds Acquario, a project of which he is also a resident DJ.
