The soundquilt is a site specific audio installation that combines local field recordings and interviews into a live musical performance designed to bring a new perspective to the spaces, sounds, and ideas captured therein.

I spent the first days of Pura Vida Festival Retreat doing a few workshops, collecting field recordings, random sounds, and short interviews with some of the community. I then integrated those sounds into my live set and performed this new combination on Saturday night.

The performance was a delight... the festival and its community gifted me so many wonderful chunks of audio to integrate and so many wonderful moments of dancing and freedom together... the receptivity and connectivity of the audience that night affected me very deeply. <3

I recorded this new version of the set live from my studio in the last days (as there was a problem with the recording from the original performance), and it immediately immersed me again in warm feels and fond memories.
