We’ve got an exciting new debut this September from German born, Jamaican raised Tech House DJ and producer, Melanie Ribbe, who lands on the label with her brand new single, ‘Big’ which also features a killer remix from Kaluki favourite, Iglesias. 

Having begun her career as a model, Melanie has since established herself as a multi-talented artist with an intense passion for music. Her tracks have been signed to a list of esteemed labels including Saved, Do Not Sleep, Under No Illusion, Moon Harbour and Roush alongside regular stints behind the decks at Amnesia, Hï Ibiza, Fabrik Madrid, elrow Barcelona and many more!

Taking cues from her time growing up on Jamaica’s sandy shores, her sound bounces between the more minimal grooves of Techno and the deep melodies of House and Tech House, all while retaining a funky edge that sets her apart from the rest.

‘Big’ radiates Melanie’s signature sound with laid back House drums, bubbling basslines and grooving low-end, whilst Iglesias’ mix takes the track in an otherworldly direction with trippy effects, frantic drum patterns and intricate synth grooves; perfectly raw, hard hitting tech for the late night hours. My Essential Mix meanders through the deeper and dubbier shades of House and Techno. I've decided to focus on music from the FUSE crew, as these guys have really innovated and pushed our sound forward. I've also included music from our friends and the wider community of artists who contribute to my FUSE London and InFuse labels.

London and its rave culture have been at the heart of my sound for many years now. So expect to hear some heavy beats, grooves and some big basslines as Jungle, Garage and classic House come together to form what is now the sound of FUSE.

The 177th release of the label is another proof of the tech-house sound is changing. The transition of the genre into something different is a fact. The collab between Spanish Miguel Lobo and Serbian Mene is fresh but powerful, dancefloor oriented but classy. 'Work That' and 'Back Seat' is great original stuff, if we add the remix of label boss' De la Swing together with Rendher we have a solid bunch of tracks making a strong release.

A well-chosen vocal sample leads 'Work That' together with a modern and groovy bassline. De la Swing and Rendher built their mix around the vocal but giving it a 2020 twist. 'Back Seat' complete the EP with stabs and effectives drops. A complete EP, don't miss it!
