The success of Ireland’s amateur boxers stand the sport out as our  most successful by some distance. With 18 of the country’s 35 Olympic medals coming in the ring, countless European, World & International champions and that’s before we even begin to talk about the professional ranks.
 One of THE key components in building this success has been the ability to identify the best young talent - developing, nurturing and coaching boys and girls from as young as 10. Giving them the best platform to launch their boxing careers. 
But for some reason, that system which has proven SO successful is now faltering. 
In this episode Al explains the format, the methods and the alarming decline in the organisation and running of underage boxing by the Irish Amateur Boxing Association and asks some honest, hard hitting questions.
