Since the re-launch of the Let there Be House label with DJ Rae at the helm, the label has gone from strength to strength releasing quality house music from the likes of Peverell & Kuuda, Yousef, Sandy Rivera, DJ Spen, Junior Sanchez, Jason Herd and Rae herself, just to name a few. 'Let There Be House Presents' hails the first EP in a new series from the label that champions fresh hand-picked talent from around the world, Enzo Tinoco, Yan Vargas, TANYA TANYA, and Seor, showcasing a collective of music that complements the diversity of the label within the house music spectrum.

Whether it will be played at an after party in London or listened to on a set of headphones while watching the sun rise from behind a mountain in Tibet. I wonder which tracks you'll fall in love with instantly and which will grow on you as time passes. 

I know this is a really long mix and the journey into it and out the other side takes some commitment but, on the plus side, it saves you having to look for anything else to play for ages and ages.

Roman Rai is delivering 2 emotionally charged tracks ‘Nature & Silence’ and ‘White Walls Everywhere’ – both equally engulfed in waves of melancholia and mystery. Both tracks will be coming on his full-length album ‘Middle of Nowhere’ that will see the world next month. As always – Roman puts unpredictability, energy and touching emotion above everything else and this release is not an exception.

Third track is a remix of ‘Nature & Silence’ delivered by our Täino – being his favorite track from Roman’s upcoming LP. Täino adds his own spin to the original version, by creating heavier and more obscure record designed to deliver infectious groove even on bigger club sound-systems.

Italian producer and Fine Human Records label head Dino Lenny lands on Crosstown Rebels for the first time this November, bringing his distinct and personal style to the label on the absorbing Doctor, also featuring a remix from Nuiton.

The haunting, emotive vocals of Dino impress throughout on Doctor, chugging groove moves alongside waves of dark electronics and panic-struck, devilish synth. A track crafted to capture the inner workings of Lenny’s mind, transforming them into a hypnotic piece. Nuiton remixes Doctor on the reverse, adding energy to the original with skipping hats and quirky arrangements, building tension that reaches an intense jazzy crescendo of percussion and brass to leave you in a headspin. On the digital release a dub version loses the voice but retains the mysticism.

With almost 30 years of releasing records under his belt, Dino Lenny has naturally built an incredible back catalogue of remixes and collaborations. He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the business, yet his productions retain a unique style that is all his own. The mysterious Aiwaska is back with another masterclass in introspective electronica. Following on from previous Exploited Ghetto outing ‘Medicine’, he treads a similar path of hypnotic sensuality.

A pulsating synth arpeggio propels the track from the first instant, building a hazy chug with its slow-tempo and spacious, subtle percussion accompaniment. Hollow bass tones punctuate as the kicks punch through pristinely. A tortured male vocal that takes its cues from the alt-rock world arrives to bring a dramatic twist, with soft harmonies increasing the haunting feel. Gentle snare patterns add a little more urgency, and a twinkling synth line morphs and undulates around it beautifully. 

A spine-tingling breakdown forces the eyes to wobble and the jaw to gently rotate, before open hi-hats drop in to propel the track forwards. Vocal snippets move through trippy delays as more subtle synth magic weaves in around beautiful chime chords. Wherever you listen to this gem of a track, you’ll find yourself transported to a slightly altered plane, and you’ll feel all the better for it. That’s the Aiwaska way...

Mar Dean - Come with Me EP // 

Coming in for a full on Hive Audio label debut after already contributing a track to our „Summer Slices Compilation 2018“ is Mar Dean, another long standing activist from the Swiss underground now aiming at international dancefloors with his „Come With Me EP“ release.

Opening with the title track „Come With Me“ Mar Dean approaches high energy Tech House in a truly uplifting fashion, draws inspiration from classic HardBag build-ups and finally triggers ecstatic crowd reaction with a rolling monster of a bassline accompanied by masterly crafted melodic elements in motion. A true banger with a slightly progressive twist.

Dealing with „Volcano Pigs“ we see Mar Dean coming from a slightly different angle, catering a stompy, well sculpted and defo more Techno-leaning foundation drumwise before opening things up with intricate melodic interplay and slightly dubbed out House stabs, hard filtered vocal samples and ghostly FX for spine-tingling moments on the dancefloor.

Teaming up with vocalist Nicole, Mar Dean is in for serious „Euphoria“ caused by hyper-harmonic, somewhat melancholia inducing chord progressions in combination with emotionally touching storytelling – all falling together to form the most beautiful electronic love song you've heard in ages.

Finally German producer Ron Flatter is in for a remix treatment, transforming and reshaping „Euphoria“ into a captivating, ever cascading Tech House anthem infused with huge harmonic basslines, angelic pads and a big portion of ravey, intense vibes for an ultimate peaktime takeoff.
