Our 1st party at Corsica Studios (kick starting a long time partnership with the venue) delivered this line-up back in April 2008. Really varied in styles in both  rooms but it definitely worked and was a great night all round. 

This is a 5am main room full hardware electro assault from the mighty Kronos Device AKA Bass Junkie and Dexorcist, 2 guys who are still to this day very much good friends of ours. Sometimes it was pretty easy putting nights on like this as we had a constant stream of highly talented mates producing or DJ'ing which made curating line-ups a doddle (sometimes!)

Unfortunately most of this nights recordings didn't make it due to a certain someone being too messy and hardware failure, only DJ Pete's and this one was salvaged from the wav wreckage!

After a rather eclectic first hour of new tracks, in the second half of the Breakbeat Conference show we prepared another showcase of the label that shaped breakbeat in its early days. We're fans of the Botchit&Scarper label and especially its unbeatable nuskool sound it presented between 1998-2000. Saku took various B&S compilations from this period, which always contained unmixed CDs, and prepared a dj set from them which he mixed in the studio. These tracks are not exactly a dj's dream to mix :) Enjoy the really raw nuskool sound that producers like B.L.I.M., T-Power, FreqNasty, Kush, Raw Deal and Jason Sparks prepared for Vini Medley's (RIP) label.

AnnRed aka Anna Redó takes music to the most sentimental section, for AnnRed there is no music without emotion.

AnnRed is a DJ from Barcelona, but she grew up in Vic, she has been playing for 5 years in different clubs, bars and festivals (REC Festival, Sala Vol, Recreo bar, La Terrraza, Freedonia, Manchester bar, Jazz Cava de Vic, Esmolat rock, ROUGE, 45/33...etc....).

AnnRed's sessions always have a dark point, mixing styles like Dark disco, Ebm or Indie dance to break-beat, techno or even more Funk rhythms or even a bit of Asian dance. Always a point of dynamism.

Daniel Osthues, DJ & creator of the radio show Addicted-2-Bass discovered his passion for rough Detroit Techno/Electro at the age of 14.

From that moment on, intense digging-sessions in nearby Underground Record shops became a weekly ritual.

This perpetual interest for new music while at the same time watching his favorite DJs spin records with incredible skill soon led to the goal to be in the same position one day.

Gaining the necessary skillset over the years, he soon found himself spinning at DJ-contests and being invited to local Underground music stations as a guest DJ.

Drawing upon an expansive record collection, his sets nowadays span from classic early 90’s Cybotron informed Electro to some rare gems from the hard-hitting Berlin, Detroit & The Hague scene. 

Besides having played at Golzheim, Düsseldorf, and Open Source Radio (NL) Daniel is a co-founder and technical mastermind behind The-District.

Energy No. 13 is a native from South Florida with his earlier roots from rock and metal music. He shifted into the electronic music scene in the mid 90’s where he started producing first and then into mixing shortly thereafter. He has been playing many parties and clubs in South Florida area.
