Not many have covered the ground like London's Richard Sen has. Starting his deep dive into the underground scene by being the much recognised Sen graffiti writer he has moved on over the years to be considered one of the UK's great selectors and DJ's. Having also released music under several guises, not only under his own name (which he also has wealth of huge remixes for artists like Bryan Ferry, John Grant, Unloved and LCD Soundsystem), but most notably under the phenomenal Padded Cell and the excellent Bronx Dogs. With his excellent weekly radio show on Charlie Bones' Do!! You!!! Radio station as well as dropping the award winning Dream The Dream (UK Techno, Breakbeat And House 1990-1994) compilation on Ransom Note, Sen finds himself with an even larger wealth of fans. With that being said we are delighted to welcome Richard Sen to the Off The Record mix series where he provides us with a 3+ hour journey taking us on a deep dive into his record selection providing styles of all kinda throughout. Jordi, aka Llupe, and Nico, aka DJ Aficionado, share quite a few things in common: Catalan origins, a love for all things Balearic, the same street in Berlin and shows on Refuge Worldwide. They both certainly appreciate a good party, too.

Organizing parties and playing together was a natural direction for them. Their party series, Orbita, launched earlier this year, aims to create ample space for quality adult dance music. It seems to be working well, as they’ve been fortunate to host guests like Apiento, Tom of England, and Sianza, to name a few.

This mix is a recording from the last Orbita party, held at Fitzroy on what many described as the last day of summer in Berlin. For those who remember, it was a dreamy and sensual Sunday, filled with music that sounded just right in that room. It felt nice and cosy and the dancers seemed to be momentarily free from any kind of Monday angst. Playful and light, yet seriously good. Feel the magic, times two.

A native of Aizu, Tohoku, and now a Tokyo-based DJ, he is a record lover, and his music selections from the archives over the years have a consistently intoxicating feel, from tough grooves for the weekend dancers on the floor to chill-out healing sets. He is also known as a member of ZUNDOKO DISCO, an organizer and DJ duo with SISINOBU, whose grey-area sets that cross TECHNO and DnB sounds have been roaring through clubs and after-hours parties in Tokyo and other parts of Japan to the ears of discerning music lovers.

DJ Earl Grey & Steve have been hosting a monthly Wednesday date-night residency for over a year, sharing the sensitive, soulful, and deep cuts from their record collection. Their shared love for each other - as well as jazz, soul, ambient, and rock - forms the foundation of their Waxflower mix.

This year, they launched Tender, a 'third space' offering yoga classes, deep listening sessions, movie screenings, exhibitions, workshops, and Naarm’s smallest record store.
