This week I remixed Yellow by @coldplay — a band I’ve been a lifelong fan of. Their music has been a huge source of inspiration for me, and getting to remix such an iconic song was an absolute joy. I poured a lot of love into this one, and I hope it shines through when you listen.

When Skrillex dropped KIXA with Slickback a few weeks ago, it felt like nothing anyone had ever heard before! A daring blend of his signature dubstep sound design with eerie pads, arps, and ambient electronic textures. What stood out most to me was the absence of drums: heavy basses moving in 4/4 cadence without any groove to drive them forward.

That’s when the idea sparked. I imagined what KIXA could become if flipped into a proper club weapon. I brought it into the Drum & Bass realm, cranked it to 175BPM, and built a tight drum pattern underneath. But it still felt like it needed an extra layer of energy, so I borrowed the iconic vocals from Rumble and Make it Bun Dem and stitched them in.

The way I approached it was almost like treating KIXA as a sample pack: chopping, rearranging, and layering all those incredible bass shots and fills into something that slaps in a rave setting. The result is a track that feels like a parallel universe version of KIXA, one where it was always meant to become a heavy-hitting Drum & Bass banger.

When the fracture split the vacuum, the chrono-compass snapped to 174.
Courier-pilot Saint VII tightened the straps and slid into the seam of the cosmos. Inside, space moved like a staircase: every two beats a new level, every third an ironic wink from fate. Bass wasn’t sound but ore—mined with a swing-pick, packed into crates by layers, tagged with sharp breaks in the pattern so the route wouldn’t be lost.

On the far side waited the black market of gravity. They didn’t sell fuel there, only knots of rhythm: quick punches, toothy wobbles, strobe-lit syncopes—fresh, predatory, a little cocky. Saint VII slices time into slivers, flips the riff mid-flight, throws right-angle turns that leave the time inspectors grabbing a silent bar instead of evidence.

Landing: the platform of the dance floor. Containers open—and orange impulses surge out.
A short hit—“here,” a reply—“there,” the mocking sub clings to ribs and marches the room up a ladder of breaks—every eight bars a new turn, closer, rougher, bolder. Hands rise, air trembles, and time—embarrassed—pulls a reload: the same motif, louder and straighter to the chest.

Galactic Fracture is contraband geometry of rhythm: a raider’s log that brings back not fear from the cracks, but the urge to jump. Every track is a new step, every break a portal, every pause a sight line.
DEEPNAS logged the signal. Saint VII returned intact—so we can dive back into the rift.

About 5 months ago my brother and I were on a long drive and the original “Start again” by Kidnap came on and we started singing it together, I remember when the song ended thinking to myself that Id like to try and remix the song into a drum and bass track. I wanted to remix this song because this was a core memory of something my brother and I have always done together, growing up there has been tones of songs that my parents have shown us over the years that have lead to lyric engraving for my brother and I to sing together but for this one it was something more then just another song. I don’t know why specifically, maybe because of how sunny it was that day or because of where we were going or maybe just because we were both so happy during that moment and nothing else mattered. I beyond stoked to finally have this one out for you to listen to and eventually sing along with me and my brother.
