Orchestré par cinq forces sombres et frénétiques dont les échos se transforment en tremblements et gémissements crépusculaires. Une brume cendreuse qui vient transmuer son environnement en un chaos rythmique spectaculaire.

Taking this one back to the Era Of Diversion days, here's our perennial classic "Dead On Arrival."  

This tune was a tribute of sorts to the webforum http://dogsonacid.com, which played a big part in the drum and bass scene for many years. For those of you who are too young to know about it: Dogs On Acid was a webforum geared towards drum and bass, but ended up more like an information clearing-house and a place where people often acted like pricks under the internet's glorious anonymity, much like many now do on YouTube/Facebook/Reddit.

So welcome to the richly rhythmic and deeply esoteric world of Zaliva-D. Based in the Chinese capital of Beijing, they’ve been circling the country’s borders for more than a decade due to the extreme difficulty of streaming music there. Zaliva-D consists of musician Li Chao and Aisin-Gioro Yuanjin, who’s responsible for their stunning live visuals. We’re very proud to present Forsaken, their 4th album, but first ever vinyl release. Wrapped around a core of gut wrenchingly ferocious kicks and haunting vocals, these tracks possess a mantra-like quality and drown the listener into a world of Chinese and South East Asian textures.

‘Chyo’ is the debut EP for Rest Now! by Tristan, the French multidisciplinary artist Tristan Brundler. Tristan makes music like he sculpts: by shaping voices, empty landscapes, organic forms, melting plastic and vegetals to create spaces and dimensions to walking in.

It goes through stages of recovery, deconstruction, reassembly and fusion of sound materials. Tristan's musical will meets his sculptural desire: to create places, atmosphere and poetry. Swaying between electronic violence and mental sweetness, between ambient, club, neo-trap and darkwave influences, Tristan tries to move forward in the construction of his psychological projection space.

‘Chyo’ is a poetic area of future inquiries. During the production, Tristan worked with the artists Migu and Whiterose for the vocal parts. Tristan describes ‘Chyo’: "all is falling out, and I don’t understand what I’m doing here, what is the sense of my presence in this environment."

Louis Me - Eastbay 2 Ur Heart

My mom ran away from her abusive household at 14, spending the next 6 years living and working in co-ops in Seattle, and then on Haight St. in San Francisco. Next was LA, where the classic rock and soul she was raised on partially made way for synth punk and hardcore street life. Although her naturally raucous hair was difficult to spike, she quickly found herself emblazoned with all other types of radical leftist insignia. This was directly before my inception, and the purple hair and piercings were very much present at my birth - and are still present today depending on which mood you catch her in. Having me did change her sonic output though, switching from the relentless screaming and harsh synth lines to what we have here - relatively softly-told stories about the very hard existence she leads. 
	I can’t listen to these songs without crying, which made me think maybe they are too personal to put up, but ultimately that’s selfish. These songs were sung to me my whole childhood, and the messages in them stuck. In a time of increased authoritarianism, poverty, and general hardship, calls to destroy government buildings, give the drugs away, and treat everyone with dignity are more important than ever. Anyway, hope you all enjoy some beautiful tracks by one of the toughest and kindest extraterrestrials to ever crash land on this rock. Love you mom.

Dmitry Nekrasov’s music has been described as “nothing short of organized chaos”, raw aggression that has been harnessed and sculptured into rhythmical dancefloor perfection. Hailing from St. Petersburg in Russia, Dmitry has been massively influenced by the neurofunk sounds of Corrupt Souls, Phace, Spor and Prolix. So much so, that in 2005 he felt inspired to put his own stamp on the drum+bass sub-genre.

After only three years of writing he signed his first track to Mayhem‘s Aesthetics label and although still a relative newcomer to the drum+bass scene, Dmitry is hot out the traps with releases on a host of labels including Hospital Records, Offshore Recordings, Uprising Records and Noisia‘s Invisible Recordings.

As he continues to build up a catalogue of future beats, including collaborations with fellow Russian compatriots Enei, Dissident and Receptor, Engage is on the up. With support from the likes of Noisia, Ed Rush, London Elektricity, Mayhem, Concord Dawn, Nphect and Ill Skillz, you are bound to be hearing more from this writer/producer/DJ in the months and years to come!
