Our mantra is always quality over quantity, and so while our milestone 50th release has taken its time to arrive in comparison to other imprints and genres, the standard is unparalleled: this is our ultimate release to-date, and a snapshot of why we believe freeform to be most exciting underground scene musically right now. Focusing on the main man behind the Yin Yang, A.B, it wouldn’t be in our nature to not include names from across the board who have ignited our purple freeform flame from conception to present day, and so our mammoth 50th offering showcases those who have helped shaped the sound of the label in the past, right through to who is shaping the Stamina sound of tomorrow. Split into two categories, the Yin represents a selection of ‘Future Classics’, featuring none other than freeform legends such as Kevin Energy, Douglas & Substanced alongside A.B. Our Yang side on the other hand caters for ‘Classics Remixed’; a selection of our finest anthems from years gone by, re-licked by none other than Fracus & Darwin, SynthWulf, the Digital Commandos, Cyrax and of course, A.B himself.

Getting his freeform toes wet once again, and representing Stamina worldwide all the way from Canada, it’s the turn of Tamerax to headline our 51st outing. Hot on the heels of our groundbreaking Stamina Records: 50 album, Tamerax goes all in to keep the buzz alight and the freeform vibes flowing as he drops two rave-infused Yin Yang bombs. ‘I Got The Beeps’ blends breaks, bleeps, vocal chops, hip-hop beats, beeps, tempo changes, acid, trance, funky basslines and more (!), resulting in a rip-roaring rave journey that fully embraces the eclectic nature of freeform. PDS on the Yang side ramps things up into even tougher territory, breaking out a ferociously big kickdrum alongside some killer crowd-pleasing vocals and an energetic lead hook. The DC are back! Fresh from smashing apart the Stamina classic ‘Kielo’ in true Digital Commandos style as part of our landmark Stamina Records: 50 album, our favourite Scottish supergroup hit us with a superb slice of freeform action like only they know how. Always offering an unmistakably authentic freeform sound, but coupled with a modernity that sees their tracks cut it with the freshest beats the scene has on offer, the DC’s latest Yin side is a beautifully deep and pure piece of club action.  Boasting hoover Q&As, screaming 303, operatic vocals and soaring uplifting leads, ‘Angels With Filthy Souls’ has all the ingredients of a modern-day anthem -  truly superb stuff from DC HQ. Flipside and resident MC Cyx is on bars duty, spitting the lyrics to complement a ravier outing from the crew, as they cleverly switch up from driving underground beats to hands-in-the-air pianos and riffs for the club-friendly ‘Rockin’ Up The Mic’. ARRRGH! Is it a dream? Is this a new collab with the Dark Prince of Freeform himself, Lost Soul? NO. YES. RESPECTIVELY.

As expected, this song is darker than the bottom of the grand canyon at night whilst wearing a gimp mask without eye-holes. So, pretty dark.

Who is The Rookie? Having cut his teeth way back on freeform vinyl as early as 1998, this man has used multiple aliases over the years, notching up releases on the original Digital Beats, Hecttech, Electronica Exposed. Here he rebirths under a brand new moniker for future freeform productions, crash-landing on Stamina Records with a supreme killer debut 2-track EP. Spearheading the Ying side is 'Rock & Roll', an absolute workout in tech-trance tinged hardcore freeform, that packs a killer groove, maximum euphoric breakdown and mind-blowing dancefloor drop... with plenty of analogue acid in-between! Taking it over to the Yang side and The Rookie keeps the trance themes running high alongside more proper groovy tech stab work, as 'Rezerekton' slams the accelerator on supersaw euphoria thanks to its big uplifting main hook. Hands-in-the-air rolling business is the order of the day for this one, finishing off perfectly an outstanding EP from an artist to watch on the Stamina roster for 2020.
