"Shades of Things To Come" was the name of my radio show in Cincinnati on 88.3 WAIF-FM for five years or so in the early nineties. It was a new music radio show. I played music that was released that day or week. Occasionally I would interview local band people on air. 

This interview is with Jason Arbenz and Sam Womelsdorf from February 23, 1993. I digitized it from the original cassette using Audacity. I edited all the music out leaving just us talking. We discuss the new, yet unreleased recordings that Throneberry were working on at the time. Jason spreads the credit around and we talk about the five songs they had recorded so far. Jason plugs a show at Bogart’s with Schwah, Middlemarch, and The Mortals, an upcoming show at Sudsy’s, and a few out-of-town shows coming up in Toledo and Kentucky. The Love Cowboys are mentioned in future booking plans. I change the band’s name to Shroneberry and we go into the origins and dilemmas of the band’s name. We go on to talk about the beautiful, just installed, Monocat 7 Towers! Sam gives away a pair of tickets!  
Throneberry departs and Denny resumes cohosting! I plug Ditchweed’s show with Vambo Marble Eye at Sudsy’s. Denny heartily promotes the Big’n, Frampton Brothers, Feeder show at Top Cat’s that weekend. Just two extra blocks! Troy Turner and crew roll in for Midwestern Hellride. We compare sweaters, and Troy gets fuzzy and nice before we go!
