GRAMMY-nominated duo Fatum collaborate with Mars Atlas on ‘Deserve It’, out now.

Fatum have been label regulars since ‘Mandala’ in 2015. Some of their label hits include, ‘Chocolate’, a cover of Tangerine Dream’s 'Love On A Real Train’, and super collaboration ‘All In’ with Genix, Jaytech & Judah. They’re also prolific remixers, with reworks of Above & Beyond, 3LAU, Gabriel & Dresden, BT & Matt Fax and more under their belt.

Over the past year, Fatum embraced their digital community. They stream regularly on Twitch, and host regular hangouts with fans in their Discord server. Their ‘Stream Starting Soon EP’, released on Anjunabeats in May 2021, was dedicated to their passionate online following.

In the words of Above & Beyond: “Fatum make tracks that demand a big stage”. ‘Deserve It’ was debuted in that style, at A&B’s Group Therapy 450 celebrations in London. The track is a collaboration with vocalist and producer Mars Atlas, aka one half of electronic pop duo Forts.

“‘Deserve It’ is one of the most meaningful songs I've ever written. The song was written in a matter of a few minutes one night, in a burst of overwhelming vulnerability at the idea of one day losing my parents. You can actually hear me crying in my first take. The song was written, but I kind of buried it - it felt a little too personal. A while later though, when I heard Fatum's hauntingly beautiful piano beds, I was taken back to that same emotional space and knew that song should belong there. The guys built a world around it that brought the song to life. This is my debut release as Mars Atlas and I couldn't be more excited for the future and to work with Fatum again. Anjunabeats release anamē’s latest single ‘Influencer’ with BLR and Robbie Rise on June 17.

You know you’re onto something when DJs sprint to the booth to find out what track you’re playing. With “Influencer,” anamē take one more step toward world dance floor domination.

anamē is the new alias from Marcus Schössow (previously one-half of gardenstate) and Thomas Sägstad. Schössow and Sagstad have known each other a long time: they came up together in the early 2000s, riding the wave of Scandinavia’s underground along with Swedish House Mafia and Tiësto. Recently, Schössow’s album with gardenstate hit nearly 8 million streams on Spotify and #2 in the iTunes US charts. But throughout their successful solo careers, the pair remained close friends. 

‘Influencer’ is a throwback house track, reminiscent of those summer anthems that dominated Ibiza seasons in the early 2010s. Made in collaboration with singer, songwriter, producer and party starter Robbie Rise and Netherlands-based DJ and producer Leon Bolier (aka BLR), ‘Influencer’ is anamē’s second release on Anjunabeats. It follows their long-awaited collaboration with Above & Beyond, “Gratitude”, which gained support from Armin van Buuren, Andrew Rayel, Ferry Corsten and Cosmic Gate.



“‘Influencer’ came out of nowhere,” anamē explains. “We put together a combination of ideas with Leon and Robbie over a few days, and perhaps that’s the magic of it – we kept it simple. Every time we play it live the floor explodes and DJs come running like maniacs to the booth to see what we’re playing.”

anamē recently supported Above & Beyond at their recent sold-out Gashouder shows in Amsterdam and Anjunabeats’ label showcase in Poland’s Gliwice Arena. anamē will also support Above & Beyond at their Group Therapy Weekender London festival on September 10 and 11 at Dockyards, tickets are on sale now (https://aboveandbeyond.nu/gtwlondon).

This year, ilan headlined sold-out shows in London, Manchester and Dallas, and is currently touring across North America. He’s also set to step behind the decks at Tomorrowland and Above & Beyond's Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge later this summer. 

"I wanted to experiment with the use of AI on vocals to achieve a perfect balance of emotion and sound. I started by using some samples, and then decided to use AI.
