In Mirrors

Need to work on the transition into the verse, but I did this in one take, and seeing as how this is a work-in-progress, I didn't give a fuq*~~*. The verse riff was actually the main rhythm for one of the town songs in my always-in-progress JRPG soundtrack. Nothing like getting all sad to a town song.

This started out as an intro to either a set or a short EP, but I kind of like it so I might work on it and make it a bit longer. I was really going for a really short and to-the-point kind of track, I suppose.

This is a different version of an older song I wrote--and in a different key. The vocal effects in the middle sound AWFUL, but it was the only way I could boost them to an audible level. I want the little refrain at the end to be a "sick chant" if i ever actually record this.

Apparently everything I write sounds like RPG music, and this one is no different. I guess the end is post-rock? Recording with this bass sounds miserable, but the bassline sounds very not-on-the-world-map-cave-with-really-good-items-and-hard-monsters, so I obviously kind of liked it. I've been re-playing the Final Fantasy series; give me a break, man.

This is probably the most jarring thing I've written, and it's the title of the ostensibly-never-complete EP I have planned. There's some fingerpicking to accompany the beginning part but the timing is too tough with my looper :(. I really want the guitars to sound huge at the end, but such a thing is hard without any way to record.
