Residing somewhere in space between the planets of ambient electronica and mellow-mooded house lies the music of Sydney-based trio, The Nights. The group, originally assembled in 2013, consists of former PANAMA band member, Tom Marland, VIVID Live’s Rob Campbell, and producer/percussionist, Walter Flamenco, who all initially met through an Ableton school years back. Now, years after the project’s inception, The Nights are back in action with their sophomore EP planned for release this March.

Ahead of the spring release, The Nights have shared the second cut, “Other Issues”, from the forthcoming EP, which sees the trio fully enveloped in celestial synth work, driven by a gentle, sub-120BPM rhythm. The elements of the track beg for live play, which is exactly what The Nights plan to do with it thanks to their collective backgrounds in instrumentation.
