Playing with rings of notes in minor pentatonic, used as licks. The graphs created by the spark function help get an idea of each lick's overall shape.

Sonic Pi: Restless Lix

Having fun with mucoder’s tonespace chorder, yet again. This time, used my WX-11 and tonespace to drive the “Group Sax” patch in Korg’s iWavestation running on iPad (using Studiomux to send MIDI and get the audio).
Can you guess in which scale tonespace was set?

Self-indulgent noodling on the “Soft Tenor Sax” patch from Air Xpand!2, using my WX-11, backed by a simple bass loop from Blocs Wave (“Shuffle Acoustic” from the “All Star Hip Hop” sound pack).

Getting a few things together, in Sonic Pi.
Pulse width and ring modulation driven by breath.
Lip pressure (sent through MIDI as pitch bend) modulates the ring modulation mix.
Incoming notes for the melody (with TB-303 type synth), counter motion for the counter melody (in FM synth).

Someone asked me if QMidiArp worked on MODEP (MOD Emulation for pisound, built by Blokas). It does.
Never been a big fan of arpeggiators, but they do make for interesting effects. This little attempt sounds spooky enough for Halloween.

Having fun with the “Voice Scan” preset from the “GRIP Grain Cloud” Reaktor ensemble by ugh (Uwe G. Hoenig). On my Alesis Vmini, had knobs for sample, position, length, and distance. The modwheel was already mapped to position. Because the modwheel is a small touch-sensitive button, it mostly makes for quick scanning, forth and back.

Having fun with the “U never know” preset from the “GRIP Grain Cloud” Reaktor ensemble by ugh (Uwe G. Hoenig). On my Alesis Vmini, had knobs for sample, position, length, and distance. Also had my ROLI Lightpad in XYZ mode, with X and Y set to the same MIDI CCs as the length and distance knobs on the Vmini.
