Our monthly show on Rádio Quântica is here. This time our guest is UK artist Simon Huxtable and his ambient project Inhmost. Simon started his career in the 90s releasing a series of atmospheric drum & bass records through his Aural Imbalance moniker. Alongside his club oriented releases, he's found time to evolve his ambient soundscapes with the Inhmost project, including a recent collaboration with ASC for Auxiliary and a new album for Huinali Recordings.

ELBEREC11 joins together the Iberian brotherhood.

Spaniard Infinite Size contributes four originals to this release: while Numbers & Cuts and Little Sensation explore a harsh and rugged sound, Going Up allows itself to pads that can either be perceived as scary or as a salvation buoy. Who You Are ruptures previous tendencies and presents a groove inviting freer dance and mental exploration.

Stil hailing from Spain, Joton - head of Newrhythmic Records - remixes Numbers & Cuts in a more reflective tradition, though not forgetting the fundamental tough beats.

From Portugal, Enkō reinterprets Who You Are somewhere between his trademark tribal and psychedelic sounds, with a rhythm section to maraud dancefloors. On IITSRØBBEN take on Numbers & Cuts, definitely some trancey vibes which will certainly be played by those who like to change it up a little.

For years Enkō has been synonymous with the Portuguese techno scene and his fusion of classical elements with modern rhythms to create an immersive, rhythmic experience, a long-standing trademark. He is known for co-hosting Lisbon's popular SUMMA cult party with Cravo, where a groovy techno output attracts a diverse and passionate crowd. Beyond performing, Enkō's influence in Portugal's electronic music includes roles in radio, music production, label management, event management amongst other creative roles.

His sound, honed during his music technology and sound design studies in Leeds, UK, reflects a diverse and dynamic music background and his experience fuelled collaborations at festivals like Latitude, Leeds Festival and SHHH_IFT. Back in Portugal, Enkō founded projects OBRA, OCASO, and HAYES Collective, promoting artist collaboration and the promotion of electronic music throughout the country.

Regularly performing at esteemed clubs and festivals, including Gare Porto, Ministerium Club, Waking Life, Boom Festival and Basilar, Enkō's journey showcases his commitment to enriching techno's landscape with deep, engaging rhythms and a forward-thinking approach.

Driven by an incessant quest for fluidity and immersion, Enkō’s locked groove style blends the classic school with contemporary techno to create a deep yet rhythmically rich performance.

The Basilar Festival resident runs the SUMMA cult party with co-host CRAVO showcasing a groovier side of techno to Lisbon’s nightlife. The project serves as platform for the community of national emerging talents, which are the focus for SUMMA’s bookings. Enkō's contributions to the electronic music movement in Portugal extend beyond performing and curatorship however, seeing him release music through labels such as BCCO, HAYES, AWRY. WÄXXEL or SUBOSC. Meanwhile, his involvement with the community runs deep and includes label management, event production, broadcasting, and copywriting for various dance music projects.

In the half-decade he spent studying music technology and sound design in Leeds, UK, he developed and finessed as a sound artist. The British booming music culture served as an influential time that was as diverse as multicultural, which contributed to his enrichment as a person. This melting pot and its ever-changing dynamics played a significant role in shaping his attitude towards sound, leading him to collaborate at various festivals and events such as Latitude, Leeds Festival, and SHHH_IFT. Upon returning to Portugal, he established projects OBRA, OCASO, SUMMA, and techno label HAYES Collective – all of which collaborative platforms for artists from diverse fields.

Having performed at numerous clubs and for plenty of promoters, Enkō has maintained a special affiliation with Gare Porto whilst also playing at top-level venues and festivals in his homeland, such as Lux Frágil, Indústria, Outra Cena, Boom Festival, Freedom Festival, Forte Festival, Waking Life, Vinculum, Lisb-On, Timelapse, Aroma Cósmico and others.
