For many years we travelled to this magical thing called Burning Man. Looking back to our first year out there, we never realised that this event, simply "a festival" to the outside world, would change us forever. 

The community ethos that you find at Burning Man is best understood by its Ten Principles. And once we left the playa for the first time we would long for radical inclusion, communal effort or the fact that people would leave no trace wherever we'd go. 

Our Gardens journey is born in Amsterdam and raised on the playa. Forever grateful are we to what we have learned and experienced while being out there. This year we finally knew what we would like to give to the playa.

Together with our family we created a Monday Landing Ceremony at Camp Bang Bang. And like our other events we started this day with a powerful meditation.
We created this meditation to allow people to arrive at the event. To take a moment to get to know the people and the energy around us. To disconnect from the outside world and enter this magical world we call home. It was a beautiful moment for anybody on the playa to set intentions for the week and take time to realise where we and who we are.

There is no Gardens without the incredible sounds from our favourite artists. Before you the M I N D B L O W I N G set by P & Christian Voldstad. We worked with both artists separately and never experienced their incredible connection in real person. 

Take a trip down memory lane and wander of to the dusty field of Burning Man. The man burns in 352 days, but who's counting?

n.o.k., die Story eines Jungen, der in die Welt der musikalischen Höhen und Tiefen auszog, um seinen Platz darin zu finden. Aufgewachsen in den 90ern sammelte er bis dato alle aus den Lautsprechern der örtlichen Radiowellen purzelnden Noten auf. Er schlug sich durch die wilden Vibez von Hip Hop, wurde von den beschaulich anzuhörenden Lianen des Reggae umschlungen, surfte locker auf der Welle des Euro Dance und fand Anfang 2000 das Finale seiner musikalischen Reise hinter den Turntables, transformierte seine Begeisterung für Musik in ein tief pochendes Bedürfnis, in Herzblut.

Auf seinem erlebnisreichen Weg wurde er frühzeitig durch Radio- & TV Formate wie HR3, Clubnight, 2Step, Fritz Nightflight u.v.m. inspiriert und seine Sensibilität für elektronische Musik wach geküsst, wie Dornröschen von ihrem Prinzen. Als er wenige Monate später auf einer Party im Görlitzer Club Nostromo seine erste Platte von dem House/Electronic DJ Jazzman geschenkt bekam, war es um unseren jungen Reisenden geschehen.

Seitdem bereichert er die Plattenteller dieser Clubs mit Deephouse, House, Dub und Techno, lässt nach und nach selbst produzierte Tracks ins unbekannte Leben hinaus strömen, sorgt mit treibendem Sound für ausgelassen tanzende Fabelwesen.

Und wenn er nicht selbst gerade auf dem Dancefloor rockt, dann legt er uns auch noch heute mitreißende Tunes und nimmt uns mit auf seine Reise durch die elektronischen Klangwelten.

n.o.k. - it’s the story of a boy who travelled through the world of musical ups and downs trying to find himself. Growing up in the 90ies he has been collecting every tone coming out of the local radio waves boxes. He struggled with the wild vibes of hip hop, got caught by the introspective lianes of reggae, surfed loosely on the waves of Euro Dance and finally found his musical journey’s end behind the turntables at the beginning of 2000. He transformed his enthusiasm for music into a deeply pulsing need – into passion.

On his adventurous way he got inspired by radio and TV formats like HR3, Clubnight, 2Step, Fritz Nightflight and many more awaking his sensitivity for electronic music. It was all up with him the moment he was given his first disk record by House/Electronic DJ Jazzman at Club Nostromo a few months later.

Since then he has been enriching the turntables of many clubs with his selection of Deephouse, House, Dub and Techno. Little by little few of his own tracks flow into the unknown life causing wildly dancing mythical creatures by that impulsive sound.

And when he’s not burning the dancefloor himself, n.o.k. and his tunes still take us today on a trip down electronic sound lane.
