@ennio, the Berlin-based producer with a South-East Asian and Slavic-Jewish background, is set to release his latest EP, "Scacotteter," on May 26th via TILT.

The new EP comprises six tracks, including an R&B infused intro, followed by five dance floor-ready bangers delivering a melange of serious yet whimsical productions. From fast paced drum-driven to minimal and hypnotic yet uplifting, never lacking groove made to turn any dancefloor upside down!

This theme holds a special resonance for many of us—some who experience it firsthand through their roots and homelands, while others grasp and feel it through the stories passed down to them. We’ve kept this theme open, allowing each artist the freedom to interpret and incorporate it into their music.

At the heart of SAL is our vibrant and supportive community, and this compilation serves to cultivate and share that sense of togetherness 🤲. We’ve brought together artists from backgrounds across East and Southeast Asia, not only calling on close friends and collaborators but also forging new connections with talented individuals.

SAL (Sonic Abundance & Longevity) is a project dedicated to celebrating and showcasing Pan-Asian arts, music, and culture. Founded in Berlin in 2024, it began as an idea for an annual compilation series to bring together artists we admire from across the globe. Since then, it has quickly expanded into organising events both in Berlin and internationally. 

The theme for the compilation this year is centered around cultural exchange: immersion, dialogue, connection, and curiosity. We aim to help bridge the gap between communities from Asia to Europe and the US; celebrating our diversity and highlighting the confluence of influences shaping our lives. This edition were inviting artists we love across the globe as a vehicle for that cultural exchange.

"The Berlin-based producer Ennio lets his mind wander through the deserted streets of a society in lockdown. Trying to make sense of the eerie uncertainty that exploded into our collective reality, these 19 tracks came into being during his first week in self-isolation."

I decided to use my mandatory free time to take a mental step back from the clubs as well and do something a little different.  Went by ear and tried to capture the mood: an attempt at a soundtrack to our current world. All done within the first week of our lockdown, I forewent polishment, mastering, etc., and tried to take it raw. Straight into your ears. 19 original tracks, one “album”, but best experienced as one. Hope you like it. Stay healthy, stay home. ♥ E.

How much is life trading on the Dow today?
Is this our future; is this waking up?
An epitaph for the lies we told ourselves;
the artifice of our reality lifted under threat of our shared demise;
authoritarians filling the void of authority.

Dystopia for advanced users.

We want the world to change, but as it changes, 
all we want is to change it back.
Instead of arriving in the future, we keep walking into our present.
Too scared to go forth, too bored to stay put.
Did the race stop at the gates of history's end?

The simulation feels real lately.
A time of lost opportunity, drowned in endless possibility.
Now, as our sorrows dance on the ruins of our own delusions,
