This is part one of a 5 hour mix that started at 95 bpm and never got faster than 118bpm.  
A pure Weatherall masterclass in mixing indie dance, balearic beats and tripped out slo-mo at it's best.

This track is an unprejudiced collage where reggaeton, beatbox, Cuban son and Arabic melodies are mixed, with strong attention to vocal arrangements.

Sung and written by Gwen, it’s a result of a meditation on the duality the human being experiences. Being able to perceive itself as a god, a creator of what surrounds it as well as a tiny fraction of the universe. It’s nothing and everything at once. Although dark, playful, and humorous elements appear. The traverse flute at the end is an unexpected collaboration with the musician and composer Emanuel Nallin (ESP)

It does not pretend to belong to any genre and could be said that it is family related to the song “Soft Boy II”,  the 8th track of her second album “Eudemónica” (2016). This single includes 2 remixes from Aleito and Fernanda Arrau.

With a solid and consistent sound, Hernan has been in the music since 2000.
His first vinyl release at DK (Matthew Dekay Imprint) back in 2003 put a stone in his still prominent career.
Hernan has been playing alongside Argentina's main clubs Pacha, Crobar, and Palacio Alsina while also booked to a wide range of clubs in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru & US among others. During this period, he and his friends formed a collective of DJs named Feedback Bookings managing residences and booking international DJs, building a big part of the underground scene in Argentina.
In 2006 Hernan signed to Vapourise Records (Australia) 2 house tracks, one of them, 'Summer Emergency', was played by Nic Fanciulli at the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix hosted by Pete Tong reaching top sales for the summer season.
In 2008 Hernan joined Chas Burns aka Flow and take control over Low Pressings records, the UK's prestigious imprint created by Peace Division. Till now, Low Pressings release established and newcomers producers.
In 2009 Hernan toured the US, playing in NY, Ohio, Cleveland, and the WMC at Miami while releasing his now classic Ep 'Reach Your Soul' at Anjunadeep, also included in the mixed CD by James Grant & Jaytech (UK).
In 2011 signed the single 'Use Your Imagination' with Armada Music, and also begin his relationship with Club On Bookings, Sao Paulo based agency making Brazil the main route for his forthcoming years.
In the present, Hernan rotates his days between his advertisement production house Audiobranders, Low Pressings records, and his original & remixes duties.

Today marks what would have been the Guv'nor's 60th birthday.

As a little nod to the late great Andrew Weatherall we've re-sharing an old mix of his alongside Sean Johnston, recorded in the lead up to Electric Elephant 11 years ago, which was only previously available on Mixcloud.

This came just a year into the duo's journey as ALFOS and their now infamous project which Andrew described as “an oasis of slowness in a world of increasing velocity”.

A solid slice of oompty boompty music to see you into the weekend. Stick it on and raise a glass to the chairman!
