Taken by Juan Mora, the ‘Castille’ EP artwork shows thriving coral reefs in Gorgona National Park in the Pacific Ocean, Colombia. A Colombian biologist, UW photographer, and expedition leader, Juan has dedicated his life and work to ocean advocacy. His camera serves as a powerful tool to share his passion and highlight the importance of protecting our planet.

To help protect places like Gorgona, supporting local, science-based efforts is key. Corales de Paz (Corals of Peace) is a Colombian non-profit leading participatory coral reef conservation by engaging divers, fishers, and coastal communities in monitoring and restoring reefs, they are building local capacity to ensure Colombia’s coral ecosystems thrive for generations to come.

Taken by Rachel Moore, the ‘Fragments XXX’ artwork was captured at the South Pass of Fakarava, a renowned dive site famously called ‘The Wall Of Sharks’. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.

French Polynesia is home to the world’s largest shark sanctuary, and the remarkable abundance of sharks here is a testament to the success of their conservation efforts. CRIOBE is a leading marine research institution investigating how sharks contribute to reef health and resilience. By monitoring shark populations and their ecological roles, CRIOBE generates vital data that informs science-based conservation policies across French Polynesia’s marine ecosystems.
