Aus Music follow up a string of releases from Shenoda, Recloose and Marquis Hawkes with a Disco-tinged 12” courtesy of a fresh signee and Millionhands head honcho Tee Mango. Having so far almost exclusively released on Millionhands alone, Tee Mango makes a rare appearance outside of his home turf and in doing so follows on from his acclaimed ‘Imperfections Vol.1’ LP which garnered widespread following from the likes of Axel Boman, Palms Trax, Gilles Peterson and Bonobo.
 
His EP#1 for Aus carries forth the sense of raw, sample heavy soul that was the real spark of Imperfections Vol.1, while maintaining a feel for the needs of the dancefloor. Loose, natural drums, deftly chopped samples and hazy synth lines keepit moody. This collection of 4 tracks could be the perfect soundtrack for those early days of sunshine. 

As Mango himself says... OFF ALL THE PLACES LEFT TO DANCE, THIS IS WHERE I'LL STAY.

The still fresh Label "Foul & Sunk" is about to release their fifth EP, and still not an year old! This time ist is the debut single from Oldschool-House affictionado Borrowed Identity. Though still young, you could easily believe that he was there since the beginning, producing a fusion of Detroit- and Chicago- Style House with his own up-to-date Flavour.

And he got the fantastic Mark E to finish the A-Side of this 4-Track Record with a remix!

The A Side starts with "Stimulation". And that's a perfect name for this track that comes with a really dry and classic combination of smashing snairs and a bumping bassline, soon accompanied by a spheric synth that sends you flying on the dancefloor. This one's a soon to be classic that feels like produced with the trippy afterhours of grimey underground clubs in mind, but can be played at every part of your set – if you play it right, that is.

The A2 is the Mark E Remix No.9 of "Stimulation". And it draws a clear line between everything called "edit" and a proper remix. His own Interpretation of this track reminds of a steam machine, gaining force as it rolls forward, using the sounds of the original mix to build up a totally different energy – one that is demanding but at the same time keeps you going and wanting more.

The B Side doesn't come short, either.
"Faith", the first track on the Flipside (if you're a vinyl lover) is a bit more laidback, but on the dancefloor a huge shaker! Smooth keys and soothing vocals paired with a straight kick, thriving drums and a perfect snair to top it off . Smooth, but sill made to dance to.

The B2, "Enter the Void", is a track that's more than worthy to finish off this wonderful record. It's the deepest of the pack and an 8-minutes monster of a track that takes it's time. Dub meets House and shows how Deephouse can and should sound like.

All in all a true gem that will not go out ouf style as long as there is House.

Heist is first and foremost a label dedicated to quality house music with an eccentric angle. Promoting great music from the Netherlands comes as a close second. After presenting a lot of notable artists from our country, it's great to showcase another young Dutch talent with our latest release: Perdu.
You might know him from his solo debut on Let's Play House or the follow up on Optimo Music last year. Perdu's music gets played by the big ones in the game like Hunee, Optimo and Palms Trax to name a few; and obviously, by us. We're proud to introduce you to his 'Skye EP'. His new release includes 3 varied originals and a rave anthem made by none other than our fun loving Ozzie friend DJ Boring.

Internationally recognized visual artist Charlie White and Mercury-nominated musician and producer Boom Bip collaborate on Music For Sleeping Children. 

Magical, uncomfortable, and original, Music for Sleeping Children is a PUBLIC album, artwork, and archive that will be offered for free in its entirety at musicforsleepingchildren.com

Stemming from White's long-term study of the representation of American adolescence, the project was born from the relationship forged during White and Hollon’s 2009 collaboration on "We Like to Shop,"  a simple clap-along song from White's experimental cartoon OMG BFF LOL that Hollon converted into a throbbing club track for the work's US premier at the Aldrich Museum. From there, White and Hollon set out to realize a far more ambitious project conceived by White as the marriage of in-depth teen interviews with pop, electronica, house, and experimental composition. 

THE MUSIC: 
Working in tandem, White and Hollon transformed immersive interviews with teen girls into carefully designed narrative dance tracks. Each track of Music for Sleeping Children captures the essence of a different teen girls, from “Baylee,” a gregarious twelve-year-old who is not into boys—YET; to “Mel and Mik,” fifteen- and sixteen-year-old BFF’s who are proud of being weird; to “Georgia,” a super-confident sixteen-year-old who is the most popular girl in school. 

THE ART:
White’s Music for Sleeping Children photographs are a selection from his CYRILLA STROTHERS PROJECT, 2004–2006—an intensive two-year study of an American teen girl living in the isolated suburbs of southern California. The project generated over eleven thousand images, which White edited down to an archive of 50 photographs to be published in 2024, twenty years after the project began. However, for MFSC he will present 12 of these works to complement the album’s aesthetic and cultural tone.
Lex Records will release a limited edition version this fall with that will include a print from the CYRILLA STROTHERS PROJECT, and more. Stay tuned for upcoming videos and launch events.

For our 2nd Birthday we have taken two tracks from our first year and served them with new remixes from Vagabundo Club Social and Kevin Over. 

Colombian Duo Vagabundo Club Social takes the soaring loop of the original Jambon-Beurre and bring an acid-tinged straight up dancefloor-ready remix whilst Kevin Over takes Shelby Le Hibou deeper with rolling bass punctuated with chords, stabs and arpeggios from the original. 

Originally released in 2018 Jambon-Beurre sees Sweet Fruity Brunch and Selva join forces for some twisted, dusty, disco-house filled with clever edits, funk fingered bass lines and a huge strings & horns riff that really creates a high energy peak time track.

Sweet Fruity Brunch goes solo for Shelby Le Hibou (Shelby the Owl) and provides more disco-led deep house with vintage keys, wah guitars and vocal edits intricately coming together for another dancefloor ready number.
