Enta - Digital Rage LP
Incoming from Biological Beats comes the debut LP from Drum n Bass wunderkind Enta, a high-energy, sub-genre-spanning release that showcases the sound he’s known for while still representing his evolution as an artist. Over the last few years, Enta has become one of the truest ones to watch in the scene, bringing his industrial beats and distorted synth patterns to labels such as Audioporn and Serum imprint Souped Up, while shelling down raves all over the country.
This LP is a culmination of progress throughout his short but impactful time in our scene.
Title track Digital Rage is aptly named, setting the pace for the rest of the album, with a piercing main line synth that makes way for a pulsating, ever-changing bassline. It’s a great summation of Enta’s talent for fusing the sensibilities of Jump Up, Rollers, and Neurofunk all in one track.
While the album’s opening gives you a flavour of what you’re in for, there’s no telling the directions that Enta takes you on throughout the sonic journey of the LP, with every track sending you down an alleyway of sound that you could never predict. Every track seems to pull off an impressive highwire act, from the straightforward yet space-age jungle of Led Astray to tracks like Mind the Whale, which teeters between hauntingly minimal and monstrously hard-hitting with constantly evolving patterns and melodies.  
It’s a masterful piece of work - complex but coherent, intense but intelligent, devastating but delicate, all at the same time. Other highlights include the crowd-ready banger that is Speechless, which recruits the Biological Boss himself Fatman D on the refrain, and Bristol-flavoured Roller Respect. 
If you’re a fan of powerful drum beats, intricate sound design, and a futuristic flair, then there’s something for you on this LP. We’re so proud of everything Enta has accomplished so far, and we’re even prouder to get to bookend this period of his ever-advancing career with the Digital Rage LP on Biological Beats.
