This year I celebrate 24 years as a pro DJ in the Rave business on exactly the same day as Raindance. Even though I was a DJ from a very young age Raindance was my first big break back in 1989 so I always see it as my proper début in to the Rave scene...

It is a massive challenge trying to pick from so many wicked tunes... so the track list is simply a mixed bag of tunes that bring back great memories of Jenkins Lane and all of the Raindance tours that I was involved in through the early years.

Ask anyone who went here in the 90's and you will see the same glint in their eye and smile on their face.  I did these mixes a few  years ago when the Tin Tins group appeared on Facebook. People were crying out for the music, original tapes gone missing or being chewed up! So initially I intended doing just a handful, but once I started pulling out tunes......you know the score! Anyway these mixes contain all the tunes I played or heard playing at this great club. So enjoy!

You definitely wouldn`t have heard this before, only 45 mins, this is proper rare, nice and early, from about late 94 /early 95. [Correction, the cognicenti have put it early / mid 93!] Second half of one of Tony`s sets. It`s definitely Tony as Ian M has verified it. [I thought it was Ian as it was so tough] He said that Tony was the only one with the balls to play No Women Allowed in Trade at that time lol. For 300 weeks, we’ve been releasing a new edition of our Mix Series every Thursday/Friday, showcasing inspiring DJs and producers from across the spectrum. 

To celebrate, Altern 8 legend, Mark Archer, has put together our 300th - a concoction of true energetic rave, old skool flavours and more recent hardcore-inspired goodness!

Having such a guest on our series is an honour; a man who has been part of influential UK dance music acts such as Bizarre Inc., Nexus 21, and a cult duo that soon became the dust mask and hazmat suit-wearing act known as Altern 8, who from 2015 included Posthuman’s Josh Doherty alongside Mark. Wearing a mask ain’t that bad after all!

All we can say is that we’re gassed as f*ck and that we’ve been playing these breakbeats over and over…what a treat - enjoy!

Conceived and fronted by two Birmingham based music heads Chrisso (Sound supply) and Paul (Etym) in late 2010,we are a collective of, Dj's, Producers, Media types, promoters and all round music obsessives.
At our parties, the music is predominantly Techno be it the regular free parties we throw or our bigger events with headliners such as Sigha and Shifted. With influences drawn from the early days of Detroit and our hometown Birmingham, right up to the current sounds coming out of Berlin's infamous Berghain club, &gt;&gt;ENTER&lt;&lt; parties continue to focus on the more deeper/darker and less commercial side of Techno.
However our parties are only part of our passion. A radio show on Fnoob radio and a podcast every two weeks has seen us gain a loyal following in the uk and around the world and shown us that its not all about the parties!
Inspired by Boiler room we set up "&gt;&gt;ENTER&lt;&lt; Sessions". <a href="http://www.ustream.tv/channel/enter-sessions" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://www.ustream.tv/channel/enter-sessions</a> . A live video/Audio broadcast once a month from our studio and various locations with resident dj's and guests offering Dj and live sets. This is a way for us to showcase our sound as &gt;&gt;ENTER&lt;&lt; but also to branch out into other areas of electronic music like Electronica, House and Broken Beats and Post-Dub.
