This is a call to arms
My lord there’s been a problem on the front lines,
Cavalry leading the siege to the castle gates
What would you ask of me my liege?

“Grab every able bodied man, 
And arm him with our best.
 Send him on the battlefield,
 and let him do his worst.” 

I see them coming over the hilltop.
As I ready my shot, with deadly precision. 
I pray my arrow meets it’s mark.

Charge!
As my horse gallops I feel my heart pound
 to the beat of the war drum.

We’re clashing steel on steel,
This sparks the flames of battle
To consume our allies,
And turn them into our enemies.

“Grab every bloody dying man,
And slit his fucking throat!” 

As I awaken the bodies that lay next to me

 Have all been crushed the same.
Fear in my eyes as they shadow me
This darkness will soon
Take over my family

The midwinter night’s kiss envelops my clarity
Induced to believe that this cold breeze is a blessing

I cannot remove her
She is my element
Cutthroat with no regard
And whispers like a snake
Forcing the apple down my throat

To be given such a cold shoulder
As she turns her back to the wind

Approaching the encroaching disbelief
That terrorize and manipulate my dreams

The icicles that form on your breath
Pierce from your lips
And tear through my flesh

Beneath the Surface

These irresistible demons that forge my path,
Have led me to a crossroad, dividing sanity.

Should he succumb to the weakness,
Or should he just stay true.
These were his choices, 
These were what bound him to his fate.

Held captive by those he loved.
But, following his own shadow
The light has burnt out.
 
Remove the veil that envelops my skin
And as the walls fall, they crumble at my feet
I feel the threads cut, they creep.

Search for yourself in the dark that surrounds you.
Amidst all the ashes the embers still glow.

Stay true to yourself, and the path you have chosen
Or lie to yourself, and be buried alive.

Or they will bury you, beneath the surface.

Overseer

Whispering winds hiss atop the branches of life.
Sent forth, to tempt me.
I try and stay true to myself and move along,
As though there is nothing there.

But like the morning sun clawing its way through the clouds.

I feel it’s talons clenching,
 with the strength of a thousand fallen; strong. 
Tearing apart my sanity until there is nothing left.

But like a falling star comes just as fast as it leaves,
 swallowed by the void.

It was I who led myself here, 
Not the hand of your proclaimed God.

Ingest and manifest as it spreads like a cancer.
Soon I must answer the call.

	I won’t let myself be brought down,
when there is no belief in me.
Judgement will tear you, limb from fucking limb.
 A nemesis, your enemy.

..If you could just live your life care free.
A simple solution, and a peaceful melody.

And we won’t let hate breed, to destroy us all.

I dissipate, all agony.
My soul rises like a phoenix from ashes

Imperfection is just perception.

It’s so easy to get pushed off,
Of your path in life.
But, if you hold true you will steadfast
The impeding resistance.
