Our close friend and rave fam, Yung Bugarron (Sterling Diaz) of NYC has put together a seriously warm intro to the the warehouse nights ahead of us. Hard to put one 'time slot' on this, but the mix is a hot memory of going alll night. Like all night ::) maybe even into the next day ::) Yung Bugarron's Soundcloud is a sickening catalog of his continuous work stretching out his sound, from his outpost, Playground Radio, in Brooklyn. Sterling's the real deal, a true raver at heart. From lil beach parties, to side rooms, to kitchens, to bars, clubs, to the Lot Radio, Sterling puts in the work.  Beyond being total fam from days/nights of partying in NY, we love Sterling for what he's doing to support other queer artists, djs, dancers, ravers alike.  We're super stoked for this mix. Enjoy ;)

"I'm feeling like I'm going to use the theme of femininity as a thread that connects my set.

Femininity as strength, as a braiding of the experiences of the multitudes of ppl who identify and see themselves as femme, as divinity, and as the oldest party trick in the book ;).

I think about how early in my career older men would give me backhand compliments about my music tastes by calling my sets 'girly' or saying things like 'great selection, ok mixing'.

Now in a post-Corona world & with me hailing from the Plague States of America, gigging (like I'm used to) is interrupted indefinitely, I look at the stats on my mixes on Soundcloud for some validation that this dream, I built on the music I love and feel drawn to, still exists. I see those numbers going north & not stopping. I think about how my favorite songs have been mixed into long-form stories aka dj mixes where I get to spin my own magic into them. I know these 'girly' sets of mine have taken me pretty far, propelled me into international tours, and paved the way to friendships and connections I didn't know that I needed and craved. Digging into my fantasies through exploration into music and clubbing brought the woman and the star in me to life. *allowed me to inhabit & exist as Dee Diggs* this divine feminine concept and dj persona that is me but also takes a bit of cosplaying as my most confident & resilient self.

I love House music because of the abundance of women's voices all over the genre. We make it cool, that femme flip, that honey-dipped flair that it girls craft from nothing and flaunt so good that it seems so effortless. I'm musing on all of that."

"A producer and DJ, Beyun runs Vault Wax—a vinyl label distributed by Clone. While currently based in Atlanta, Beyun is moving to Rotterdam in 2021.

With DJ sets featuring selections of acid, electro, and jack with deeper midwest, hypnotic, and harder flavors of techno, Beyun's approach is akin to a psychedelic trip, yet still grounded in the body-driven mechanics of the dancefloor.

Beyun's music origins are rooted in Boston, where she founded the monthly party "Vault" with Bob Diesel—which ran from 2015 to 2017 at Middlesex Lounge. In 2017, Beyun moved to Atlanta to work with DJ Pierre as the A&R director and label manager for his labels Afro Acid, Jack Trax, and Afro Deep. After two years on an almost weekly release schedule, Beyun signed over 40 artists and over 100 tracks to Pierre's labels and left in July of 2019 to focus on her own productions. Later that year, Beyun founded Vault Wax, which is seeing its first vinyl releases this year on a slower and more deliberate schedule.

Born in the Philippines to a Ukrainian-American father, a German mother, and given a Korean name, Beyun doesn’t identify with any single nationality or place.
